What it does

A token tax hook that charges owner-set buy and sell taxes on every swap (capped by an unverified maximum) and uses them for buybacks, while other LPs can still withdraw freely.

How it works step by step

  • Charges a buy tax and a separate sell tax on swaps in a single token's pool, taken from swap amounts.
  • Collected tax (in the quote token) can be used for buybacks of the project token, run automatically or by a buyback operator.
  • Holds the project's own LP position as an NFT with a time lock, and the owner can extend the lock, collect LP fees, and withdraw it after unlock.
  • The owner can change buy/sell tax rates, subject to a MAX_TAX_BPS constant whose exact value is not visible in the decoded data.
Swap behaviour
On each buy or sell the hook takes a tax from the swap amounts using return deltas and records the total tax collected. Some swaps may also trigger an automatic buyback using accumulated tax.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks are enabled, so other LPs can add and withdraw freely. The hook separately holds a time-locked project LP position that only the owner can withdraw after the lock expires.
Fee behaviour
Separate buy and sell tax rates set by the owner, capped by a hard-coded maximum whose exact percentage cannot be confirmed from bytecode. Tax is kept by the hook and used for buybacks or owner-controlled flows, on top of the pool's own LP fee.
Owner & admin controls
Owner can set buy and sell tax (up to an unverified MAX_TAX_BPS cap), toggle and configure buybacks, set the buyback operator, extend the LP lock, collect LP fees, and withdraw the hook-owned LP NFT after unlock. Ownership can be transferred or renounced.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeSwap: computes and applies tax before the swap; afterSwap: takes tax from output and may run auto-buyback; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct tax from swap input or output.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).

Who controls it: A single owner controls tax rates, buyback settings, and the project's locked LP position. The worst they can do is raise taxes to the unverified cap or withdraw project liquidity after the lock expires.

Risk to user funds: The hook deducts the buy or sell tax from traders' swaps, up to an unverified maximum. Other LPs' principal cannot be locked or taken because remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled.

Security findings

  • [medium] Owner-adjustable buy and sell tax: The owner can change tax rates up to a hard-coded maximum, but the cap value cannot be read from bytecode, so traders may face higher taxes than expected.
  • [low] Asymmetric buy/sell taxes possible: Buy and sell taxes are set independently, so sells can be taxed more heavily than buys, within the cap.
  • [info] Project LP lock controlled by owner: The hook-owned LP position is time-locked and can only be withdrawn by the owner after unlock. This does not affect other LPs, who withdraw freely.
