What it does
A token launch hook that keeps trading off until the owner enables it, then charges every swap a fixed tax for the owner, while locking the owner's launch liquidity until an unlock time.
How it works step by step
- Launches a token by creating the pool and adding the owner's initial liquidity position through the hook itself.
- Blocks swaps until the owner turns trading on.
- Charges a fixed tax on swaps, taken from the swap amount and held by the hook for the owner to withdraw.
- Keeps the hook-owned launch liquidity locked until an unlock time, which the owner can extend, after which the owner can unwind the position.
- Restricts adding liquidity through the hook's add-liquidity check, likely so only the hook's own position is allowed.
- Swap behaviour
- Swaps revert until the owner enables trading. After that, each swap pays a fixed tax (TAX_BPS, exact value not visible in bytecode), which the hook deducts from the swap amounts and accumulates.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Adding liquidity is checked by the hook and appears limited to the hook's own launch position. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block anyone from withdrawing. The hook's own launch liquidity stays locked until the unlock time and can then be unwound by the owner.
- Fee behaviour
- A fixed swap tax (exact percentage not decodable from bytecode) goes to the hook and can be withdrawn by the owner, on top of the pool's fixed LP fee. The tax appears to be a constant, not something the admin can change.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can launch the pool, enable trading once, extend the liquidity lock, unwind the launch liquidity after it unlocks, withdraw collected tax, and transfer ownership. No function was found that changes the tax rate.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: limits pool setup to the hook's own launch; beforeAddLiquidity: gates who can add liquidity; beforeSwap: blocks trading until enabled; afterSwap: records tax totals; afterSwapReturnDelta: takes the tax from swap amounts.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: A single owner controls the launch, the trading switch, tax withdrawals and unwinding of the launch liquidity. The owner does not appear able to change the tax rate.
Risk to user funds: Traders lose the fixed tax on each swap; the exact percentage is unverified. The hook cannot touch third-party LP withdrawals, and the main liquidity is the owner's own, which can be pulled after the unlock time.
Security findings
- [medium] Owner-controlled trading start: Swaps are blocked until the owner calls enableTrading, so trading depends on the owner.
- [low] Swap tax via return delta: A constant tax is deducted from swaps and sent to the owner. The rate cannot be confirmed from unverified bytecode.
- [low] Owner can pull launch liquidity after unlock: After the lock expires, the owner can remove the hook-held launch liquidity. The lock can be extended but not shortened.
- [info] LP withdrawals cannot be blocked: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled in the hook address.
