What it does
A curator-run launch pool hook that manages its own liquidity range and takes a fixed but unverified cut from every swap for the curator, with possible curator control over when trading opens.
This read was written for the hook 0x0c26…28c4 on Ethereum and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Sets up and controls a single token pool, with a curator address that can be handed over to someone else.
- Blocks outside LPs from adding liquidity; the hook appears to manage its own liquidity position within a set price range.
- Takes a cut from swaps in its after-swap step and tracks the collected ETH and token amounts, which the curator can later collect.
- Has a liquidity hold period (hold duration / hold-until) and a cut-related setting whose exact values cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
- Swap behaviour
- Before a swap the hook checks status flags that may stop trading until the pool is set up or enabled. After the swap it can take a cut of the swap amount through a return delta, which is recorded as collected ETH or token.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Adding liquidity goes through a hook check that likely limits deposits to the hook's own managed position. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block or charge withdrawals, although the hook-owned position may be subject to a hold period.
- Fee behaviour
- The pool has a fixed pool fee plus a hook cut set by a CUT_BPS constant, taken from swaps and sent to the curator on collection. The exact percentages cannot be read from the decoded bytecode.
- Owner & admin controls
- A curator can hand over the curator role, collect accrued fees, and call unnamed setup functions that set the pool, the price range, the hold time and trading flags. Caps on these settings cannot be verified.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: controls pool creation; beforeAddLiquidity: gates LP deposits; beforeSwap: checks whether trading is enabled; afterSwap: records swap activity and takes a cut; afterSwapReturnDelta: lets the hook deduct its cut from swap amounts.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, low confidence).
Who controls it: A single curator address controls setup, the trading flags, the hold period and fee collection, and can transfer this role. The bounds on its settings are unknown.
Risk to user funds: The hook can take a cut from traders' swaps, sized by a constant that is unverified, and it holds its own liquidity and accrued fees. Third-party LPs appear unable to add liquidity, and withdrawals cannot be blocked by hook callbacks.
Security findings
- [low] Swap cut via return delta: The hook can deduct a cut from swaps. The cut appears to be a constant, but its size is not confirmed from bytecode.
- [medium] Curator-controlled trading flags: The curator-gated setup functions write the flags that beforeSwap checks, so trading could possibly be enabled or held off by the curator.
- [info] LP withdrawals not hookable: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block or tax withdrawals.
