What it does
Every swap through this pool pays a fixed, hard-coded burn fee (rate unverified) that the hook takes from the swap and sends out to be burned, while LPs can add and withdraw liquidity freely.
This read was written for the hook 0xe7b1…c0cc on Ethereum and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Charges a percentage of each swap, set by a fixed BURN_BPS constant, and burns it.
- Uses its return-delta permissions to take that share from the swap amounts.
- Pulls the fee tokens out of the PoolManager and transfers them on, most likely to a burn address or the linked 'scrip' token.
- Has no storage-based settings, so the fee looks hard-coded and cannot be changed by an admin.
- Never runs on liquidity actions, so LPs can add and withdraw freely.
- Swap behaviour
- On every swap the hook can take a share of the swap amount through return deltas and transfer it out, most likely to burn it. The exact share comes from the hard-coded BURN_BPS value, which cannot be read from the decoded bytecode alone.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
- Fee behaviour
- A fixed burn fee set by the BURN_BPS constant is taken from swaps on top of the pool's normal LP fee. The exact percentage is unknown from bytecode, and the tokens appear to be sent out to be burned rather than paid to an owner.
- Owner & admin controls
- No admin controls found; there is no storage and no owner functions, so the burn rate appears immutable.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeSwap: can take a cut from the swap input; afterSwap: can take a cut from the swap output; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook adjust swap amounts to collect the burn share.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: No privileged keys appear to exist; the burn rate seems fixed in code.
Risk to user funds: The hook can deduct a fixed share of each swap, at an unverified rate set by BURN_BPS, and send it out to be burned. LP principal cannot be locked or touched.
Security findings
- [low] Unverified swap deduction: The hook takes a fee from swaps and moves tokens out using take and transfer. Its exact rate (BURN_BPS) cannot be confirmed without verified source.
- [info] Immutable and LP-safe: This is a direct contract with no storage or admin functions, and remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so LP withdrawals cannot be blocked.
