What it does

A launch hook for the ETH/SQK pool that taxes every buy and sell in ETH, starting at 85% and falling to a permanent 1% over 22 minutes, so the earliest traders pay far more, with the tax going to the deployer.

How it works step by step

  • Runs the launch pool for the SQK token paired with ETH; only the deployer can create the pool, once, with SQK-only liquidity sent to the deployer as a position NFT.
  • Trading stays closed until the deployer calls startSpinning, which can only happen once.
  • Charges a tax in ETH on every buy and sell that starts at 85% and falls in a straight line to 1% over 22 minutes, then stays at 1% forever.
  • Collected tax stays inside the Uniswap PoolManager as ETH claims owned by the hook, and only the deployer can withdraw it.
  • No pause, blacklist, tax changes or upgrade exist; the tax schedule is hard-coded.
Swap behaviour
Swaps revert until trading is opened, and after that every buy and sell pays the current ETH tax (85% at open, falling to 1% after 22 minutes), taken from the ETH paid in or the ETH received out. Early trades in the first minutes pay very heavy tax, while later trades pay a flat 1%.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely. The launch position is a normal v4 NFT owned by the deployer and is not locked, so it can be removed at any time.
Fee behaviour
A tax of 85% at trading open decays linearly to 1% over 22 minutes, then 1% forever, always charged in ETH and kept for the deployer; the pool also charges its fixed 0.30% LP fee to liquidity providers.
Owner & admin controls
The deployer can open the pool once, start trading once, and withdraw collected ETH tax to any address. The deployer cannot change the tax, pause trading, or block traders.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize blocks anyone else from creating a pool with this hook; beforeSwap blocks trading before launch and taxes exact-in buys and exact-out sells; afterSwap taxes exact-out buys and exact-in sells; the swap return-delta permissions let the hook take the ETH tax out of the swap amounts.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: A single immutable deployer address can open the pool and trading once and withdraw the accumulated ETH tax. It cannot change fees or block swaps, but it owns the only launch liquidity and can pull it.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes 1% to 85% of the ETH side of each swap, depending on time since launch, and holds it for the deployer. LP withdrawals are not restricted by the hook.

Security findings

  • [medium] Very high launch tax: Tax starts at 85% on buys and sells and only reaches 1% after 22 minutes; it is hard-coded and fair to all, but trades in the first minutes lose most of their value.
  • [low] Deployer controls trading start and liquidity: Only the deployer opens trading and holds the unlocked LP position, which they can remove at any time.
  • [info] Immutable tax schedule: The tax constants cannot be changed, there is no pause or blacklist, and the contract is not upgradeable.
