What it does
A token tax hook for the single ETH/QEYRO pool that charges admin-set buy and sell fees in ETH (5% each by default, adjustable up to 99%) and lets the admin switch trading on or off, while LPs can always withdraw freely.
How it works step by step
- Charges a buy tax and a sell tax, taken in ETH, on every swap in the single ETH/QEYRO pool this hook allows.
- Fees start at 5% on buys and 5% on sells, but the owner or operator can change each one anywhere from 0% to 99%.
- Swaps revert until the owner or operator turns trading on, and they can turn it off again at any time.
- Collected ETH is sent to a fee receiver address, or parked and paid out later if the PoolManager is short on ETH or the transfer fails.
- Only the owner or operator can create the pool, and it must use a 0% LP fee and a tick spacing of 200.
- Swap behaviour
- Every swap is blocked unless trading is enabled. When it is, the hook takes a buy or sell fee in ETH from the ETH side of the trade (added to the ETH paid on buys, deducted from the ETH received on sells), adjustable from 0% to 99%.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely, although the pool has a 0% LP fee, so LPs earn no swap fees.
- Fee behaviour
- Buy and sell taxes default to 5% each, and the owner or operator can set either one anywhere from 0% up to a hard cap of 99%. All of it is paid in ETH to the fee receiver, and the pool's own LP fee is 0%.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner or operator can set buy and sell fees between 0% and 99%, change the fee receiver, and turn trading on or off. The owner can also appoint the operator and withdraw any ETH, ERC20 or NFT held by the hook contract.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: restricts pool creation to the owner or operator and to one fixed pool setup; beforeSwap: enforces the trading on/off switch and takes the fee on exact-input buys and exact-output sells; afterSwap: takes the fee on the other swap types; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook add or deduct the ETH fee amount.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: high (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: The owner and an operator, using Ownable2Step, control fees up to 99%, the trading switch and the fee receiver. At worst they can halt all swaps or take almost all of a trade's ETH value.
Risk to user funds: Traders can lose 0% to 99% of the ETH side of each swap to the fee receiver, at the admin's choice, and swaps can be frozen entirely. LP principal cannot be locked or drained by the hook.
Security findings
- [high] Near-confiscatory fees allowed: The owner or operator can raise the buy and sell fees to as much as 99% each at any time, taking almost the entire ETH value of a trade.
- [medium] Trading can be paused: The owner or operator can disable trading, which makes every swap revert, so token holders could be unable to sell through this pool.
- [low] Emergency withdrawals of hook balance: The owner can withdraw any assets held by the hook, including ETH fees parked or pending for the fee receiver. Pool reserves held in the PoolManager are not affected.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: The remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block or charge LP withdrawals.
