What it does
A fee-free ZCHF/FCS gateway: every exact-input swap is filled by depositing into or redeeming from the FCS vault at its own rate, with no LPs, no admin and no extra charge for any trade.
How it works step by step
- Turns a Uniswap v4 pool into a direct gateway between ZCHF and the FCS vault token. Swaps are filled by depositing into or redeeming from FCS, not by pool liquidity.
- Buying FCS deposits your ZCHF into the FCS contract at its own exchange rate. Selling FCS redeems it for ZCHF, subject to FCS's own redemption gates.
- Only exact-input swaps are supported. An optional minimum output and deadline can be passed for hook-level slippage protection.
- Blocks anyone from adding liquidity, since the pool never needs LP reserves.
- Deploys a companion router that pulls the user's tokens, runs the swap and enforces a nonzero minimum output.
- Swap behaviour
- Each exact-input swap is fully filled by the hook: it takes the input from the PoolManager, deposits it into FCS (or redeems FCS for ZCHF) and settles the exact output back, with strict balance checks. Exact-output swaps revert, and FCS redemptions can fail if the FCS protocol's binding or redemption gates are closed.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Adding liquidity always reverts, so there are no LPs. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block withdrawals.
- Fee behaviour
- Pools must use a 0% fee and the hook charges no fee of its own. Users get whatever rate the FCS deposit or redeem function gives.
- Owner & admin controls
- No admin controls found. All settings are fixed when the contract is deployed.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: only allows a ZCHF/FCS pool with a 0% fee and tick spacing 1; beforeAddLiquidity: always reverts to block liquidity; beforeSwap: performs the FCS deposit or redeem and checks the optional minimum output and deadline; beforeSwapReturnDelta: replaces the pool's pricing with the exact FCS conversion amounts.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: No privileged keys exist in the hook. Behaviour depends only on the external FCS protocol and its own governance.
Risk to user funds: The hook only moves the swap amount within a single transaction and does not keep any tokens, with balance checks enforced at each step. No fee is deducted (0%), and there is no LP principal to lock or drain.
Security findings
- [info] Immutable, no owner: The hook has no owner or settable parameters and is not a proxy.
- [info] Rate set by external FCS contract: Swap output depends entirely on FCS deposit and redeem results. FCS's own gates can make sells revert, so users should set a minimum output.
- [info] No fee and no LP exposure: The pool fee is forced to 0% and liquidity cannot be added, so there is no LP principal at risk.
