What it does

A tiny, unverified post-swap check hook that appears to validate swaps without charging extra fees, so all trades pay only the pool's normal fee and LPs can withdraw freely.

This read was written for the hook 0x3723…0044 on Ethereum and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Runs a small check after every swap in pools that use it.
  • Has permission to adjust swap output amounts via a return delta, but its afterSwap is marked view and it keeps no storage, so it likely returns zero adjustment.
  • Appears to call an external validate function on a swap amount, which may cause a swap to revert if validation fails.
  • Does not touch liquidity adds or withdrawals.
Swap behaviour
After each swap the hook runs a read-only check, apparently calling an external validator with a swap amount, and may revert the swap if the check fails. Because the function is view-only and the contract has no storage, it is unlikely to take any fee from the swap, though this cannot be fully confirmed from bytecode.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
Fee behaviour
Uses the pool's static fee; no hook fee could be identified in the tiny, view-only bytecode.
Owner & admin controls
No admin controls found; the contract has no storage and no owner functions.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

afterSwap, afterSwapReturnDelta

afterSwap: runs a post-swap validation check; afterSwapReturnDelta: allows the hook to adjust swap output, though a view function with no storage likely returns zero.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).

Who controls it: No owner or admin storage exists; any control would come only from the external validator contract it calls, whose logic is unknown.

Risk to user funds: The hook holds no funds and, being view-only, very likely takes no fee from swaps; LP principal cannot be locked or drained by this hook.

Security findings

  • [low] Unverified hook with swap return-delta permission: The hook can in principle modify swap output via return delta, but its afterSwap is view-only with no storage, making token deductions unlikely; exact behaviour is unverified.
  • [info] External validation may revert swaps: The hook appears to call an external validate function, which could cause swaps to fail depending on the validator's logic.
  • [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block or charge LP withdrawals.
