What it does

A token tax hook that charges owner-set buy and sell taxes on every swap (capped at an unverified maximum) and uses the proceeds to buy back the token, while leaving LP withdrawals unrestricted.

How it works step by step

  • Charges a buy tax and a sell tax on swaps of the project token in its pool, taken directly from swap amounts.
  • Accumulates collected tax (in the quote token) and can use it to buy back the project token, either automatically after swaps or via an operator call.
  • Holds a project-owned LP position NFT that is time-locked; the owner can extend the lock, collect its fees, and withdraw it after unlock.
  • Owner can change buy/sell tax rates, buyback settings and the buyback operator.
Swap behaviour
Each swap runs through the hook, which deducts a buy or sell tax from the trade using return deltas and may trigger a chunked buyback of the token. Buys and sells can be taxed at different rates set by the owner.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks are enabled, so the hook never runs when LPs add or remove liquidity and cannot block withdrawals. The project's own LP NFT held by the hook is locked until an unlock time and only the owner can withdraw it afterward.
Fee behaviour
Separate buy and sell taxes in basis points are taken on swaps; a MAX_TAX_BPS cap exists but its exact value cannot be read from bytecode. Collected tax goes to the hook and funds token buybacks, on top of the pool's LP fee.
Owner & admin controls
The owner can set buy and sell tax (bounded by an unverified MAX_TAX_BPS), toggle and configure buybacks, set the buyback operator, extend the LP lock, collect LP fees and withdraw the locked LP after unlock. Ownership can be transferred or renounced.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeSwap: computes and takes tax on exact-input side; afterSwap: takes tax on output side and may run auto-buyback; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct tax from swap amounts.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).

Who controls it: A single owner controls tax rates, buyback settings and the project LP position. The worst case is raising taxes up to the unverified cap or withdrawing the project's LP after the lock ends.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes a buy or sell tax from each swap, up to an unknown maximum cap. It cannot touch or lock other LPs' principal.

Security findings

  • [medium] Owner-adjustable buy/sell tax: The owner can change buy and sell tax rates up to a MAX_TAX_BPS cap whose value cannot be confirmed from bytecode, so sells could be taxed heavily if the cap is high.
  • [info] Tax-funded buybacks: Collected tax is used to swap back into the token through the pool, controlled by owner-set parameters and an operator.
  • [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so third-party LPs can always withdraw; only the project's own locked LP NFT is time-locked.
