What it does

A Zero launchpad hook that charges every buy and sell a fixed per-token fee in ETH (typically 1% to 10%, or 0.1% once renounced) and sends it to the factory for creators and the protocol, without affecting liquidity withdrawals.

How it works step by step

  • Charges a fixed per-token trading fee on every swap, always taken in currency0 (ETH or the paired base asset).
  • Fee rate is set once per launched token by the factory from an allowed list (default 1% to 10% in 1% steps), and can only be lowered to 0.1% when the creator renounces.
  • Collected fees are sent to the factory contract, which distributes them to the token creator and protocol.
  • Does not touch liquidity adds or withdrawals; LP is described as burned/locked by the launchpad, but the hook itself never blocks withdrawals.
Swap behaviour
On every swap the hook takes a fee in the base currency (currency0): from the ETH input when buying or from the ETH output when selling, sized so the effective fee equals the token's set rate. Swaps revert if the token is not registered with a fee.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; the hook cannot block or charge LP adds or withdrawals.
Fee behaviour
Each token has a fixed fee chosen at launch from the allowed list (by default 1% to 10%), and the factory can later cut it to 0.1% on renouncement. The owner can add other allowed rates up to just under 100%, but a token's rate cannot be changed once set except to 0.1%; fees go to the factory for creator/protocol distribution.
Owner & admin controls
The owner can set the factory address once and add or remove allowed fee rates (any value from 0.01% to 99.99%). The factory sets each token's fee once and can only lower it to 0.1% afterward.

beforeSwap: takes the fee on exact-input buys and exact-output sells; afterSwap: takes the fee on exact-output buys and exact-input sells; beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta: charge the fee to the swapper's ETH amount.

Who controls it: The owner controls which fee rates are allowed and sets the factory once; the factory assigns each token's fee one time. The worst case is new tokens launched with a very high fee, while existing tokens' fees cannot be raised.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes only the swap fee in the base currency, at the token's fixed rate (default 1% to 10%, or 0.1% after renounce; owner could allow up to 99.99% for new tokens). It cannot touch LP principal or block withdrawals.
