What it does

QuantumPadHook launches privately funded tokens with a 0-fee pool where every buy and sell pays a chosen 1% to 5% ETH tax, split between the protocol and the token's creator, and blocks sniping in the launch block and caps buys per block for a few blocks after launch.

How it works step by step

  • Launches a new ERC-20 token per private note: verifies a zero-knowledge proof via QuantumNotes, deploys the token with CREATE2 and a fixed 1,000,000,000 supply
  • Creates a TOKEN/ETH pool with a 0 LP fee and seeds the whole token supply as permanent one-sided liquidity below the opening tick
  • Runs an untaxed dev buy inside the launch transaction, delivering the bought tokens to a fresh recipient wallet
  • Takes a per-launch tax (1% to 5%, in whole percent) in ETH on buys and sells, splitting it between a protocol share (max of 0.5% or 30% of the tax) and the launch creator
  • Blocks swaps in the launch block and caps total tokens bought per block for a set number of snipe blocks
  • Blocks any liquidity addition or pool initialization not performed by the pad itself
Swap behaviour
Exact-input swaps only; exact-output reverts. Swaps are blocked in the launch block. Buys (ETH in) pay the launch's tax, taken from the ETH input before the swap; sells (token in) pay the tax from the ETH output after the swap. During the snipe window, total tokens bought per block are capped at 1% of supply. Taxes are split into a protocol part and a creator part, booked for later payout.
Liquidity behaviour
Only the pad can add liquidity; outside callers are rejected. The pad's seeding position is a one-sided token position created in the launch transaction. The hook provides no remove-liquidity callback, and the owner cannot withdraw pool liquidity.
Fee behaviour
The LP fee is 0; the only cost on trades is the hook's tax, chosen per launch from 1% to 5% and fixed for that token. Of each tax, max(0.5%, 30% of the tax) goes to the protocol treasury and the remainder to the launch creator. The split is a constant and cannot be changed by the owner.
Owner & admin controls
The owner (Ownable2Step) can: change the per-tier launch fee, relayer fee cap, opening price, max buy bps and snipe block count (bounded by checks); change the treasury address; pause new launches; call ESPad to sweep all accrued ETH (protocol and creator fees) to itself and void pending creator claims; and sweep any ERC-20 held by the hook. The owner cannot change tax rates on existing launches, cannot remove pool liquidity, and cannot upgrade the contract (no proxy observed).

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: rejects pool creation by anyone other than the pad. beforeAddLiquidity: rejects liquidity additions by anyone other than the pad. beforeSwap: enforces exact-input, the launch-block snipe guard, and takes the buy tax via a return delta. afterSwap: enforces the per-block buy cap during the snipe window and takes the sell tax via a return delta.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: The owner holds the treasury, creator fee vault and the ability to pause launches and reconfigure fees, opening price and anti-snipe parameters. It cannot change tax rates on existing launches or touch pool liquidity, but it can take all accrued fees at any time.

Risk to user funds: The hook holds accrued protocol and creator ETH in its balance. The owner can sweep that balance. Pool liquidity sits in the PoolManager and cannot be moved by the hook owner. Traders' funds are exposed only through the tax mechanism.

Security findings

  • [high] Owner can sweep accrued fees: ESPad transfers the entire ETH balance of the hook, including creators' accrued but unclaimed tax, to the owner and voids pending creator claims. Creators depend on the owner to repay them manually.
  • [medium] Hook takes tax via return deltas: beforeSwap and afterSwap return deltas to take ETH from swappers; every trade on a launched pool pays the tax chosen at launch, which can be up to 5%.
  • [low] Owner can pause new launches: setLaunchesPaused blocks new launches but does not block swaps, so existing pools keep trading; the pause is reversible.
  • [info] Snipe guard limits early buyers: Swaps revert in the launch block and buys are capped at 1% of supply per block for a few blocks, which reduces but does not eliminate sniping.
  • [info] Deployer-controlled notes contract coupling: Spending notes depends on the QuantumNotes contract, which the owner can drain via devWithdraw and ESNotes; this is outside the hook but affects the pad's funds.
