What it does
A token tax hook that charges fixed buy and sell taxes on every swap and uses the proceeds for owner-managed token buybacks, while regular LPs can withdraw freely.
How it works step by step
- Charges a buy tax and a sell tax on swaps in the token's pool, with rates fixed as constants in the contract (exact percentages not readable from bytecode).
- Collects the tax during swaps and tracks the total tax collected.
- Can use collected quote tokens to buy back the project token, either automatically after swaps or when a buyback operator triggers it.
- Holds a protocol-owned LP position NFT with a time lock that the owner can extend, and lets the owner collect its fees and withdraw it after unlock.
- Swap behaviour
- On each swap the hook takes a buy or sell tax from the swap amounts through return deltas, and after swaps it may run an automatic buyback of the token using accrued tax. No trader allowlist or pause function was found.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks are enabled, so regular LPs can add and withdraw freely. The hook's own locked LP position can only be withdrawn by the owner after its lock time expires.
- Fee behaviour
- Buys and sells pay fixed tax rates set as constants (BUY_TAX_BPS and SELL_TAX_BPS); the exact percentages cannot be confirmed from bytecode. Tax goes to the hook and is used for token buybacks.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can toggle buybacks and auto-buyback, set buyback parameters and operator, extend the LP lock, collect LP fees and withdraw the locked LP after unlock. Tax rates appear to be constants with no setter.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeSwap: computes and takes tax on exact-input side; afterSwap: takes tax from output and may trigger auto-buyback; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct the tax from swap amounts.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: A single owner controls buyback settings, the buyback operator, and the hook-held LP position, which it can withdraw after the lock ends. No function to change tax rates was found.
Risk to user funds: Traders lose a fixed buy/sell tax per swap, with exact rates unknown from bytecode. Regular LP principal cannot be locked or drained by the hook.
Security findings
- [medium] Unverified swap tax with return deltas: The hook deducts buy and sell taxes via swap return deltas; rates appear constant but their values cannot be verified from bytecode.
- [low] Owner-controlled buyback of tax funds: Owner and buyback operator control how accrued tax is spent on buybacks; collected tax sits under the hook's control.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block regular LPs from withdrawing.
