What it does
A launchpad tax hook that takes a capped, possibly decaying fee from non-exempt swaps and splits it between the token creator and a buyback fund, while leaving LP withdrawals untouched.
How it works step by step
- Charges a launch tax on swaps in token pools registered by an approved launchpad, taken from the swap amount before the trade executes.
- Splits the collected tax between the token creator and a buyback bucket, tracked as claimable balances.
- Supports a decaying fee schedule: the tax can start higher at launch and fall over a set time window, with a hard-coded maximum total fee.
- Lets token creators claim their accrued fees, and lets anyone trigger a sweep of buyback fees to the buyback recipient.
- Fee-exempt addresses, set by the owner, can swap without paying the tax.
- Swap behaviour
- Before each swap, the hook works out the current tax for the pool and trade direction (buy or sell can differ) and deducts it from the swap using a return delta, unless the swapper is fee-exempt. Pools must be registered by an approved terms writer, otherwise initialization fails.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
- Fee behaviour
- A per-pool tax, possibly different for buys and sells and decaying over time, is taken from swaps and split between the creator and a buyback fund. The bytecode enforces a maximum total fee, but its exact percentage cannot be read from bytecode alone.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can add or remove terms writers and fee-exempt addresses, and fee recipients can be changed per pool. Creators can only lower their own tax, and registered terms are checked against a fixed maximum fee whose value is not visible from bytecode.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: only allows pools whose terms were registered by an approved writer; beforeSwap: computes the current tax and checks exemptions; beforeSwapReturnDelta: takes the tax out of the swap amount.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: The owner controls who can register pool terms and who is fee-exempt. Creators can only lower taxes, and taxes stay under a built-in maximum.
Risk to user funds: The hook can take a tax from each swap up to an unverified hard-coded maximum and hold it for creators and buyback. LP principal cannot be locked or drained.
Security findings
- [medium] Swap tax taken via return delta: The hook deducts a tax from swaps and holds it as claims for creators and buyback. A hard-coded maximum exists, but its exact value is unverified.
- [low] Owner-managed fee exemptions: The owner can exempt chosen addresses from the tax, giving them cheaper trading than other users.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block or charge LP withdrawals.
