What it does
Takes a fixed basis-point fee from pool swaps on allowed pools and routes the collected value to a strategy manager.
This read was written for the hook 0x9f2c…c044 on Avalanche and reused here: the two run the same code.
How it works step by step
- Runs after every swap on pools the owner has allowlisted
- Computes a fixed fee in basis points (FEE_BPS) on the swap amount
- Claims that fee as a return delta so it is settled from the swap
- Accumulates the total in totalFeesCollected
- Forwards collected value to the configured strategy manager
- Swap behaviour
- afterSwap runs on each swap and, via the return delta, extracts a fixed FEE_BPS share of the swap output for the hook, recording it in totalFeesCollected.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks are enabled; beforeAddLiquidity and beforeRemoveLiquidity selectors exist in the dispatch table but the hook permissions do not enable them.
- Fee behaviour
- Takes a fixed fee in basis points (FEE_BPS selector present) from the afterSwap delta and accumulates it in totalFeesCollected (slot 3); the fee is forwarded toward a strategy manager, and the exact split cannot be confirmed without source.
- Owner & admin controls
- Owner (slot 0) can transfer or renounce ownership, set the strategy manager (slot 1), allow or disallow pools via setPoolAllowed (slot 2 mapping), and call rescueTokens to withdraw tokens held by the hook. No pause or upgrade functions were identified.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
afterSwap, afterSwapReturnDelta
afterSwap: runs after each swap to compute and collect the hook fee. afterSwapReturnDelta: lets the hook take a share of the swap output as a return delta, which is how the fee is extracted from the pool.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: The owner can allow or disallow any pool, change the strategy manager address that receives collected value, and rescue arbitrary tokens from the contract. A malicious or compromised owner key could redirect fees or drain tokens held by the hook.
Risk to user funds: The hook holds and moves fee tokens taken from swaps and can send them to the strategy manager; the owner can also rescue any token balance. Swap execution itself is not shown to be blocked, but depends on the allowlist check in beforeSwap-related logic.
Security findings
- [info] Return delta takes value from swaps: afterSwapReturnDelta lets the hook claim part of each swap's output, so the hook is an active participant in swap settlement.
- [medium] Owner can rescue tokens held by hook: rescueTokens lets the owner transfer tokens out of the hook at will, which can include fees awaiting forwarding.
- [medium] Owner-controlled fee destination: The strategy manager address is owner-settable and fees are sent to it, so a changed address can redirect collected fees.
- [low] Owner-gated pool allowlist: Pool allowlist is controlled by the owner, so the owner decides which pools receive this hook's behaviour.
