What it does

A Troll Pad launchpad hook that charges each swap a fixed, creator-set buy or sell tax of up to 10% in the quote asset and pays it to the launch's splitter, while restricting liquidity adds to the launch's locker.

How it works step by step

  • Shared hook for every Troll Pad token launch pool, each launch being a real Uniswap v4 pool from the first block.
  • Charges a buy tax and a sell tax on every swap, always taken in the quote asset (e.g. USDC). Each rate is set by the creator at launch, capped at 10%, and fixed afterward.
  • Holds collected tax as claims inside the PoolManager. Anyone can call flush to send it to that launch's revenue splitter.
  • Only an authorized launch portal can create pools, and only the launch's designated locker can add liquidity.
  • Reverts swaps that fill nothing, and swaps where the taxed quote amount would only partially fill.
Swap behaviour
Each swap pays the pool's buy or sell tax (0% to 10%) in the quote asset. It is taken before the swap when quote is the amount you specified, or from the output/input after the swap otherwise. Swaps that fill no liquidity, or that only partially fill when quote is the specified side, revert.
Liquidity behaviour
Only the launch's registered locker contract can add liquidity; everyone else is rejected. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block withdrawals, although the locker itself is designed never to remove liquidity.
Fee behaviour
Buy and sell taxes are fixed per pool at launch, each between 0% and 10%, and cannot be changed later. This is on top of the pool's normal LP fee. Tax accrues to the launch's splitter (creator and platform) and is paid out via a permissionless flush.
Owner & admin controls
A bootstrapper address can authorize the main portal once, and can set or renounce a factory once; the factory can then authorize more portals. No one can change tax rates, splitters, or lockers after a pool is registered.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: only authorized portals can create pools; beforeAddLiquidity: restricts adds to the launch locker; beforeSwap: takes tax when quote is the specified amount; afterSwap: takes tax when quote is the unspecified amount and rejects empty or partial fills; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct the tax from the swap.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: The bootstrapper has one-time setup powers, and the factory can authorize new launch portals. Neither can alter existing pools' taxes or move pool funds.

Risk to user funds: Traders lose 0% to 10% of the quote side of each swap as tax, which goes to the launch's splitter. LP principal cannot be locked or drained by the hook, since remove callbacks are disabled.

Security findings

  • [info] Swap tax capped at 10%: Buy and sell taxes are each limited to 10% and are immutable once a pool is registered.
  • [info] Liquidity adds restricted to locker: Only the launch's locker can provide liquidity, so outside LPs cannot join. Withdrawals are never gated by the hook.
  • [low] Portal authorization trust: The factory can authorize unlimited portals, and those portals can create taxed pools. Each pool's tax is still capped at 10%.
