What it does
This hook takes an owner-set fee from every swap and routes it to rewards, beneficiaries, or pool donations; the owner can pause swaps and deposits, but LPs can always withdraw.
This read was written for the hook 0x1cf2…e8cc on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Charges a hook fee on swaps, taken from the swap amounts using return deltas.
- Collected fees are tracked and can be routed to configured beneficiaries or reward contracts (calls like notifyReward and notifyBonus), and may be donated back to the pool.
- The owner can pause the hook, which appears to block swaps and new liquidity additions.
- Checks pools at initialization so only the configured pool can use it.
- Has no remove-liquidity callbacks, so LP withdrawals are never touched.
- Swap behaviour
- Before and after each swap the hook can take a fee from the swap amounts through return deltas and may route it to rewards or donate it. Swaps likely revert while the owner has the hook paused.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Adding liquidity is checked by the hook and likely blocked when paused or not yet configured. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so LPs can always withdraw freely.
- Fee behaviour
- A hook fee set by the owner in basis points is taken from swaps. The maximum cap could not be confirmed from bytecode. Fees go to configured beneficiaries, reward contracts, or pool donations.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can pause or unpause the hook, change the fee rate (cap not verifiable from bytecode), and run a configure step that sets linked addresses. Ownership can be transferred or renounced.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize restricts which pool can use the hook; beforeAddLiquidity gates deposits (pause/config check); beforeSwap checks state and may adjust input amounts; afterSwap takes the fee and handles rewards; beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta let the hook deduct its fee from swap amounts.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, low confidence).
Who controls it: A single owner can pause trading, change the fee rate, and configure the linked addresses that receive fees. The owner cannot block LP withdrawals.
Risk to user funds: The hook can deduct a fee from swap amounts, at a rate the owner sets with no verified cap. LP principal cannot be locked or taken through this hook.
Security findings
- [medium] Owner-adjustable swap fee: setFeeBps lets the owner change the swap fee taken via return deltas. No upper bound could be confirmed from bytecode.
- [medium] Pausable swaps and deposits: The owner can pause the hook, which likely blocks swaps and new liquidity.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so LPs can always withdraw their principal.
