What it does
A token-launch hook that blocks swaps until the owner turns trading on, charges no extra fee beyond the pool's static fee, and timelocks the owner's liquidity position while other LPs can withdraw freely.
How it works step by step
- Lets only one pool be set up through this hook; a second initialization is rejected.
- Blocks all swaps until the owner calls enableTrading, after which swapping is open to everyone.
- Lets the owner lock a Uniswap v4 position NFT inside the hook with a timelock. The lock can only be extended, never shortened.
- Lets the owner collect trading fees earned by the locked position, and pull out (unwind) the liquidity once the lock expires or transfer the position.
- Appears to be paired with a specific token, as a launch helper for that token's liquidity.
- Swap behaviour
- Before each swap the hook checks whether trading has been enabled and reverts with TradingNotEnabled if it has not. Once enabled, swaps run normally with no extra fee or deduction.
- Liquidity behaviour
- The hook has no add or remove liquidity callbacks, so other LPs can add and withdraw freely. The owner's own position NFT can be locked in the hook, and it can only be unwound or transferred after the timelock ends.
- Fee behaviour
- Uses the pool's static fee; the hook takes no extra fee. LP fees earned by the locked position can be collected by the owner.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner (two-step Ownable) can enable trading once, lock the position and extend its lock, collect its fees, and unwind or transfer the position. Whether the owner can unwind before the lock expires cannot be fully confirmed from bytecode.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap
beforeInitialize: records the pool key and allows only one pool to be initialized; beforeSwap: reverts swaps until trading is enabled.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: A single owner controls when trading starts and manages the locked liquidity position and its fees. The owner cannot charge traders extra or touch other LPs' funds.
Risk to user funds: Traders pay no hook fee (0%), and the hook cannot take tokens from swaps. Other LPs can withdraw freely; only the owner's own locked position is held by the hook.
Security findings
- [medium] Owner-gated trading start: No one can swap until the owner enables trading. If the owner never enables it, the pool stays unusable for swaps. There is no visible way to disable trading once it is on.
- [info] Timelocked liquidity position: The owner's position NFT can be locked, and the lock can only be extended. Unwinding appears to require the unlock time to pass, but this is unverified bytecode.
- [info] No swap or withdrawal deductions: Return deltas and remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot take swap tokens or block other LPs from withdrawing.
