What it does
Each launched coin trades in its own Uniswap v4 pool where buys and sells both pay the pool's 2% fee, and the collected fees are split so the creator gets half, $CAMO buybacks get a quarter, and the treasury gets a quarter.
How it works step by step
- Acts as the hook and owner of a Uniswap v4 pool per launched coin, opening each pool with ETH as currency0 and the coin as currency1 at a fixed start tick
- Seeds each pool with two single-sided liquidity positions held by the contract: a curve position from the launch price to the sell-out price and a tail position from there to the top of the range
- Collects LP fees by poking positions, sells the coin portion of fees back to ETH inside the pool, then splits the ETH: 50% creditable to the coin creator, 25% to a buyback pot, 25% to the treasury
- Runs $CAMO buybacks that swap buyback ETH for the designated $CAMO coin and send it to the dead address, rate-limited by a maximum amount and an interval
- Launches CamoToken instances whose name, ticker and image can be changed by holders who burn tokens worth a set ETH price, with a cooldown between reskins
- Swap behaviour
- Swaps are routed through the pool manager by this contract's buy and sell functions or any v4 router; there is no beforeSwap or afterSwap hook, so the hook itself does not alter swap pricing. Buys pay the pool's 2% LP fee in ETH and sells pay it in the coin; the fee is later realised and split by collectFees, so the trader pays the same 2% either way, with no extra hook fee on top.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks. Liquidity is added once at launch by the contract itself through its unlock callback and is never removed by the hook; only zero-liquidity pokes are used to collect fees.
- Fee behaviour
- The pool uses a static 2% LP fee set at pool creation. The contract then redistributes realised fees: 1% of trade value to the coin creator (claimable), 0.5% to the buyback pot, and 0.5% to the treasury (claimable). Shares are pull-based through ethOwed and claim, and the owner can change the treasury address.
- Owner & admin controls
- Owner (two-step transfer) can name the $CAMO coin once, change the treasury address, change launch defaults (image base, reskin price, cooldown), and moderate any coin's name, ticker, image, reskin price, cooldown and image base. The owner cannot change pool fees, pool parameters, or the liquidity positions, and there is no upgradeability or pause mechanism visible in the source.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize
beforeInitialize only: it restricts pool creation so that only this contract, acting as the sender, can initialize a pool using this hook; any other initialization reverts.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: The owner controls the treasury address, moderation of every coin's displayed identity, launch defaults, and one-time naming of $CAMO. The owner cannot directly pull user or pool funds, cannot change the pool fee or price curve, and cannot upgrade the contract.
Risk to user funds: The hook holds the entire supply of each coin and the liquidity positions, plus accrued ETH fees waiting in ethOwed and buybackEth. Users' trade funds pass through the pool manager and are not kept by the hook, but pending creator and treasury balances are held by the hook until claimed.
Security findings
- [medium] Owner can change treasury destination: setTreasury lets the owner redirect all future treasury fee shares (0.5% of trading volume) to any non-zero address, with no timelock.
- [low] Owner can moderate any coin's metadata: moderate and related setters let the owner replace a coin's name, ticker and image and change reskin price and cooldown, but they do not move holder balances or burn tokens.
- [low] Buyback drains are bounded but depend on $CAMO pool depth: Buybacks are capped at 0.01 ETH per call and rate-limited to one per 60 seconds, which limits price manipulation of $CAMO, but the swap relies on the $CAMO pool's liquidity and an external gas budget.
- [info] Pool manager settlement logic: Settlement, poking and fee collection happen inside unlockCallback with reentrancy guards on the entry points; the code has no obvious accounting bypass from the source provided.
- [info] Contract holds liquidity positions indefinitely: The contract is the sole owner of all curve and tail positions and the position owner cannot be changed, so liquidity can never be withdrawn by an admin, which removes a rug vector but also means no emergency exit.
