What it does

FolioHook charges a fixed, pre-set fee in ETH on swaps, with buy and sell rates set per pool by the factory and sent to a fee wallet, while liquidity providers are not charged by the hook.

How it works step by step

  • Stores a per-pool fee configuration (recipient, buy bps, sell bps) that the factory registers once before the pool is initialized; the fee is capped at 2000 bps (20%) and can never be changed afterward.
  • Restricts pool initialization on this hook to the factory and requires the pool to have been registered first.
  • In beforeSwap, when ETH is the specified currency, skims a percentage of the specified amount as a fee and sends it to the pool's fee recipient via poolManager.take.
  • In afterSwap, when ETH is the unspecified currency, takes the fee from the ETH leg of the swap delta and sends it to the fee recipient.
  • Accumulates the total ETH fees taken per pool in the collected mapping and emits FeeTaken events.
Swap behaviour
Swaps where ETH (currency0) is the specified currency are charged in beforeSwap, and swaps where ETH is the unspecified currency are charged in afterSwap. Buys (ETH in, zeroForOne) use the buyBps rate and sells use sellBps, with the fee taken from the ETH amount and transferred to the fee recipient; swaps not involving the ETH leg in the relevant direction pay no hook fee.

Fee behaviour
Each pool has a fixed buy fee and sell fee in basis points (max 2000 bps), set by the factory at registration and immutable afterward. The fee is taken in ETH (currency0) and sent directly to the pool's fee recipient rather than to LPs.
Owner & admin controls
No owner, no setters and no pause; only the immutable factory address can call register and open pools. Fee parameters cannot be changed after registration. No upgrade mechanism is visible.
