What it does

This hook sends a fixed creator fee of up to 10%, set at deployment, from the ETH received on token sells and on LP withdrawals, while buys pay no extra hook fee.

This read was written for the hook 0x1e0f…a145 on Ethereum and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Only allows pools where one side is native ETH.
  • When someone sells the token for ETH, a fixed creator fee (set at deployment, at most 10%) is taken from the ETH they receive.
  • When an LP removes liquidity and receives ETH, the same percentage is taken from the ETH portion of the withdrawal.
  • Fees are sent straight to the creator address; buying the token with ETH pays no hook fee.
  • The creator can only hand the creator role to a new address; the fee rate cannot be changed.
Swap behaviour
Buys (ETH in for the token) pass through with no extra hook fee. Sells (token in for ETH out) have a fixed percentage of the ETH output, set at deployment and capped at 10%, sent to the creator.
Liquidity behaviour
Adding liquidity is untouched. Removing liquidity always works, but the same fixed fee (up to 10%) is taken from the ETH portion paid out to the LP, while the token portion is not charged.
Fee behaviour
A fixed creator fee, set once at deployment and capped at 10%, is charged on ETH received from token sells and on ETH received from liquidity withdrawals, and it is paid directly to the creator. Buys pay only the pool's normal LP fee.
Owner & admin controls
The current creator can transfer the creator role, and with it future fee payments, to another address. The fee rate is fixed at deployment (at most 10%) and cannot be changed.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, afterRemoveLiquidity, afterSwap, afterSwapReturnDelta, afterRemoveLiquidityReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: rejects pools that do not pair native ETH; afterSwap: detects token-to-ETH sells; afterSwapReturnDelta: takes the creator fee out of the sell's ETH output; afterRemoveLiquidity: detects ETH paid out to withdrawing LPs; afterRemoveLiquidityReturnDelta: takes the creator fee out of that ETH.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low, estimated (decoded bytecode, high confidence).

Who controls it: The creator address only receives fees and can transfer that role to someone else. It cannot change the fee rate, pause trading, or block withdrawals.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes a fixed fee of 0% to 10% from the ETH received by token sellers and by LPs removing liquidity. LP principal cannot be locked, and nothing beyond that fixed share can be drained.

Security findings

  • [low] Withdrawal fee on LP exits: LPs pay the fixed creator fee, up to 10%, on the ETH side of every liquidity removal. Withdrawals cannot be blocked, but LPs lose that share of their ETH on exit.
  • [info] Fixed, capped fee: The fee rate is immutable and the constructor rejects any rate above 10%, so no one can raise it later.
  • [info] Sell-only swap fee: Only token-to-ETH sells are charged. Buys pay no hook fee, and the fee cannot exceed 10%, so this is not honeypot behaviour.
  • [info] Unaudited educational code: The source describes itself as educational and unaudited, though the logic is simple and not upgradeable.
