What it does
A launchpad hook that sells new tokens along a bonding curve it solely owns, charging a quote-token fee on both buys and sells that starts high to deter snipers, decays over time, then flattens after breakout, with fees split among creator, buybacks, dividends, LP support and the platform.
This read was written for the hook 0x62f0…e8cc on Base and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Launches new tokens on a bonding curve that is placed as real Uniswap v4 liquidity owned by the hook, with the pool opening at the curve's start price.
- Blocks all third-party liquidity additions, so the hook is the only LP in every launch pool.
- Charges a time-decaying anti-snipe fee while on the curve, then switches to a flat post-breakout fee once price crosses the curve's top.
- Collects all fees in the quote token (e.g. WETH/USDC) and later splits them between creator, dividends, buybacks, LP support, platform treasury and referrers.
- The creator's first buy inside the launch transaction is fee-exempt.
- Swap behaviour
- Buys pay the fee through the pool's dynamic LP fee in the quote token; sells pay no pool fee, and the hook instead takes the same percentage from the quote output (or grosses up exact-output sells) and holds it as claims. The fee rate decays from a configured start rate to an end rate during the curve phase and becomes a flat pool rate after breakout.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Anyone other than the hook is blocked from adding liquidity; the hook's own curve, tail and support positions are managed internally. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, but since only the hook can hold positions, there are no outside LPs to withdraw.
- Fee behaviour
- Fee is set per launch at creation: a starting anti-snipe rate decaying linearly to an end rate on the curve, then a fixed post-breakout rate; exact caps live in the omitted factory/types code (comments mention up to 99% at launch). Fees are split at collection by a frozen per-launch config among creator, dividends, buyback, LP support and the platform treasury, with referrers taking a governance-set share of the platform cut.
- Owner & admin controls
- Governance can change the factory, curve shape table, treasury, dividend distributor, fee-beneficiary vault, support band width, referral share (up to 100% of the platform cut) and a global switch that escrows creator fee claims until breakout. Governance cannot change a live launch's fee rates or split, and the fee facet address is immutable.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: only lets the hook itself create pools; beforeAddLiquidity: always reverts to keep the hook sole LP; beforeSwap: sets the per-swap fee override and pre-claims fee on exact-output sells; afterSwap: takes the sell-side quote fee, credits referrals, latches breakout and updates the resting fee; swap return deltas: used to deduct the sell fee in the quote token.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium (verified source, medium confidence).
Who controls it: A single governance address (two-step transfer) controls protocol sinks, referral share, factory and creator escrow. It cannot alter live launch fee rates or move pool reserves directly.
Risk to user funds: The hook takes the configured swap fee in the quote token on every trade, which can be very high in the opening anti-snipe window and lower afterward; exact caps are in omitted code. There are no outside LP positions to lock or drain.
Security findings
- [medium] Very high early anti-snipe fee: Right after launch the fee can start very high (comments cite 99%) and decays over a set window; buyers and sellers trading in that window can lose most of their trade to fees.
- [low] Governance can swap the factory: A replaced factory can open new launches, but the hook still validates fee splits against recorded caps; existing launches are unaffected.
- [low] Creator claim escrow switch: Governance can instantly pause or release creator fee payouts for all launches; funds stay in their buckets either way.
- [info] No external LPs: Adding liquidity always reverts, so no third-party LP funds are ever at risk in these pools.
