What it does

A token launch hook that keeps trading closed until launch, then charges swap fees to a treasury (with part burned), charging early snipers and sellers more while enforcing per-wallet buy caps and one trade per block, and leaving LP withdrawals free.

This read was written for the hook 0xbddf…80cc on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Guards a token launch pool: swaps revert until trading is opened by the owner or automatically after a set delay.
  • Charges a fee on swaps, with a higher anti-sniper fee during an initial launch window that decays over time, plus a separate sell fee and a burn portion.
  • Caps how much each wallet can buy during the launch window and blocks the same address trading twice in one block.
  • Lets the owner mark addresses as exempt, and lets addresses register as exempt with a Merkle proof against a fixed root.
  • Sends collected fees to a treasury, with part burned.
Swap behaviour
Before and after each swap the hook checks that trading is open, enforces a one-trade-per-block rule and a per-wallet buy cap during the snipe window, and takes a fee from swap amounts via return deltas. Exempt addresses skip fees and limits; non-exempt early buyers pay the most.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
Fee behaviour
Fees are hard-coded constants (base fee, sell fee, burn share, and a higher snipe fee that decays over the launch window, bounded by MAX_FEE_BPS and MAX_SNIPE_BPS); exact percentages cannot be read from bytecode alone. Fees are taken from the swap and sent to the treasury, with a burn portion.
Owner & admin controls
The owner can open trading early and add exempt addresses; fee rates, window length and caps appear to be constants. Ownership uses two-step transfer and can be renounced.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeSwap: checks trading open, same-block and exemption rules, and takes fee from input; afterSwap: tracks window buys against the buy cap and takes fee from output; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct its fee from swap amounts.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).

Who controls it: A single owner can open trading and grant exemptions; it does not appear able to change fee rates or touch pool reserves.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes a fee portion of each swap via return deltas, with exact rates unverified but bounded by hard-coded maximums. LP principal cannot be locked or drained.

Security findings

  • [medium] Trading gate before launch: Swaps revert until the owner opens trading or the auto-open delay passes, so trading is blocked pre-launch.
  • [low] Exemption list: The owner can exempt chosen addresses from fees, buy caps and the trading gate, giving them an advantage at launch.
  • [low] Fee caps unverified: Fee constants and maximums exist but their exact values cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
  • [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so LPs can always withdraw.
