What it does

A restrictive access-control hook shared by all Vectis pools that allows only the LaunchFactory to initialize them and only the Locker to add liquidity, without affecting swaps.

How it works step by step

  • Gates pool initialization so only the factory address can create pools carrying this hook
  • Gates liquidity addition so only the locker address can provide liquidity
  • Leaves swaps, donations and liquidity removal unrestricted
  • Sets factory and locker once via setAddresses called by the deployer
  • Takes no return deltas and holds no funds
Swap behaviour
No swap callbacks.
Liquidity behaviour
beforeAddLiquidity reverts unless the sender is the locker address, so only the Locker can add liquidity to pools carrying this hook. Removal is not gated by the hook.
Fee behaviour
Uses the pool's static LP fee fixed at launch; the hook does not set or take fees, and fees accrue to the Locker's position.
Owner & admin controls
Deployer EOA can call setAddresses exactly once to set factory and locker; after that there is no owner, pause, upgrade or parameter control. The deployer address is immutable.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity

beforeInitialize restricts pool initialization to the factory address; beforeAddLiquidity restricts liquidity addition to the locker address.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: The factory and locker addresses are set once and cannot be changed, so no key can later reroute permissions. The only privileged action is the one-shot setAddresses by the deployer, which could bind the wrong addresses if misconfigured before the first call.

Risk to user funds: The hook does not custody or move tokens and sets no fees; exposure depends on the factory and locker contracts, which are outside this hook. Its gating could only block pool creation or liquidity additions, not withdraw existing funds.

Security findings

  • [low] One-shot wiring by deployer: setAddresses can be called only once by the deployer EOA; if called before the intended factory and locker are correct, the wiring is permanently fixed.
  • [info] No swap or removal restriction: Swaps, donations and removals are not gated by the hook, so trading is unaffected by these restrictions.
  • [info] No fund custody by hook: The hook takes no return deltas and does not move tokens, so it cannot hold or redirect user or pool funds directly.
