What it does

This hook charges a configurable fee on swaps in pools it launches, splitting the revenue between the protocol and pool creators, with the exact direction and size of the cost for buyers and sellers not confirmed from the decoded bytecode.

How it works step by step

  • Initializes pools with launch-specific settings via beforeInitialize, storing a per-pool launch configuration keyed by pool id
  • Tracks per-pool state such as fee state, floor state and launch info in mappings and reads them on swaps
  • Takes a hook fee on swaps, with a configurable hook fee in basis points and a protocol fee share in basis points
  • Uses beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta, so it can take or give back currency deltas on swaps and redirect part of the trade flow
  • Routes fee revenue to a protocol fee recipient and to per-pool creator fee recipients set by the owner
  • Exposes a buyback toggle per pool, suggesting part of collected fees may be used to buy back tokens
Swap behaviour
beforeSwap and afterSwap run on every swap; the hook reads per-pool state and can take a hook fee and adjust deltas through the return-delta mechanism, so the exact amounts paid by buyers versus sellers depend on the fee policy and direction, which cannot be fully determined from decoded bytecode.
Liquidity behaviour
beforeAddLiquidity, afterAddLiquidity, beforeRemoveLiquidity and afterRemoveLiquidity are present and can gate or observe liquidity changes; the decoded bytecode does not show clear parameter changes, so the effect is uncertain.
Fee behaviour
A hook fee in basis points (hookFeeBps) and a protocol fee share (protocolFeeShareBps) are stored, with maximum caps (MAX_HOOK_FEE_BPS, MAX_PROTOCOL_FEE_SHARE_BPS, MAX_TOTAL_TRADE_FEE_BPS); fees are split between the protocol recipient and creator recipients.
Owner & admin controls
Owner (Ownable with two-step transfer and renounce) can set hook fee bps, protocol fee share bps, protocol fee recipient, creator fee recipients per pool, and enable or disable buyback per pool.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: sets up launch and pool state when a pool is created. beforeSwap: reads state and applies fee logic before the swap. afterSwap: updates swap-related state and accounting after the swap. beforeSwapReturnDelta: lets the hook alter the swap amounts before execution. afterSwapReturnDelta: lets the hook take or return a delta after the swap.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, low confidence).

Who controls it: A single owner key controls fee levels, fee recipients and buyback enablement; a compromised owner could redirect fees or raise them up to the on-chain caps.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes fees from swaps through return deltas and can redirect them to recipients, so user trade value is exposed to the fee policy; it does not show a clear mechanism to freeze pool liquidity.

Security findings

  • [medium] Owner can change fee rates: setHookFeeBps and setProtocolFeeShareBps let the owner change fee levels; the caps (MAX_TOTAL_TRADE_FEE_BPS and related maxima) limit the damage but the owner can still raise fees up to those caps at any time.
  • [medium] Return-delta hook can alter swap settlement: beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta permit the hook to change the amounts settled in a swap, so the hook takes value out of user trades by design.
  • [medium] Owner can redirect fee recipients: setProtocolFeeRecipient and setCreatorFeeRecipient change where collected fees go, so the owner can redirect revenue.
  • [low] Owner can toggle buyback behaviour: setBuybackEnabled changes per-pool buyback status, which affects how collected fees are used.
  • [info] Upgradeability not determined: No proxy or upgrade selectors were observed in the decoded functions, but the source is unverified so this cannot be confirmed.
