What it does

A small, immutable hook that only checks whether a new pool may be created, using a registry or pool-key lookup; swaps pay just the pool's normal fee and LPs can deposit and withdraw freely.

This read was written for the hook 0x4658…6000 on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Runs one check when a pool using this hook is first created, and does nothing afterwards.
  • Looks up a registry contract and appears to compare the new pool's settings against a pool key stored elsewhere, so only an approved pool configuration can be initialized.
  • Has no swap or liquidity callbacks, so trading and LP deposits and withdrawals work like a plain Uniswap v4 pool.
  • Holds no storage and has no admin functions; the manager and registry addresses are fixed in the code.
Swap behaviour
No swap callbacks.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
Fee behaviour
Uses the pool's static fee.
Owner & admin controls
No admin controls found in this contract. Who can be initialized depends on the external registry it references, which is not visible here.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize

beforeInitialize: checks, via an external registry or pool-key lookup, whether a new pool is allowed to be created with this hook, and can revert initialization if it is not.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).

Who controls it: No owner or upgrade path exists in this small, non-proxy contract. The external registry may decide which pools are allowed, but it can only affect pool creation.

Risk to user funds: The hook cannot move any trader or LP funds and charges no fees. LP principal cannot be locked or drained by this hook.

Security findings

  • [info] Initialization gate only: The hook only runs at pool creation and can at most stop a pool from being created. It cannot touch swaps, fees, or LP funds.
  • [info] Unrestricted LP withdrawals: Remove-liquidity callbacks and all return deltas are disabled, so LPs can always withdraw and swaps cannot be charged extra by the hook.
