What it does

A single-market gate hook that blocks all swaps until the owner opens trading, after which every trade pays only the pool's normal fee, while the owner manages a sealed hook-held liquidity position and its fees.

How it works step by step

  • Allows only one pool (one market) to be created with this hook; any later pool setup is rejected.
  • Blocks all swaps until the owner opens the market, then lets swaps through without changing them.
  • Appears to hold a liquidity position NFT that stays sealed (locked) until an expiry time the owner can only extend.
  • Lets the owner collect fees earned by that held position and move the position once the seal expires.
Swap behaviour
Swaps revert until the market has been opened by the owner; after that, swaps proceed at the pool's normal fee with no extra deductions. The hook cannot take tokens from swaps.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks are enabled, so other LPs can add and withdraw freely. The hook's own position appears locked by a seal period that can only be extended.
Fee behaviour
Uses the pool's static fee; the hook adds no fee. The owner can harvest LP fees earned by the position the hook holds.
Owner & admin controls
The owner can open the market (enabling swaps), extend the seal duration, harvest fees from the hook-held position and migrate that position after expiry. Exact limits cannot be fully confirmed from bytecode.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeSwap

beforeInitialize: registers the single allowed market and rejects others; beforeSwap: blocks swaps until the market is open.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).

Who controls it: A single owner (two-step ownership transfer) controls opening the market, fee harvesting, seal extension, and position migration. The worst case for traders is that swaps are never enabled.

Risk to user funds: The hook cannot deduct tokens from swaps or touch other LPs' withdrawals; it only manages its own held position and its fees. Third-party LP principal cannot be locked or drained by the hook.

Security findings

  • [medium] Owner-controlled swap gate: Swaps are blocked until the owner calls the open-market function; if never opened, the pool cannot be traded.
  • [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block other LPs from withdrawing.
  • [info] Locked hook-held position: A position held by the hook appears sealed until an expiry that can only be extended, then can be migrated by the owner.
