What it does
Launchpad hook for ETH/token pools that charges per-pool fees and taxes in ETH on every exact-input swap (higher for early anti-snipe buys, high-impact trades and quick sellers), splits the income between creator, protocol and referrers, and keeps launch liquidity locked forever.
How it works step by step
- Shared hook for Captain Hook v2 token launches: every pool is native ETH paired with a launch token, and only the factory can create pools or add liquidity.
- Charges the pool fee in ETH: on buys it is taken from the ETH going in, on sells from the ETH coming out. Optional buy and sell taxes, a dynamic price-impact fee, a fading anti-snipe launch fee and an Exit Clock sell fee can also apply.
- Each pool's rules are fixed at launch. They can include an allowlist phase, per-second buy and transaction caps, a per-wallet buy cap and a same-block sell ban (sandwich guard).
- Splits income: fees go 60% to the creator and 40% to the protocol, while taxes go 90% to the creator and 10% to the protocol. A referrer gets 10% of the fee out of the protocol's part, and creator income can be routed to payees or to buyback-and-burn.
- Launch liquidity is permanently locked, and part of each buy's tokens can be auto-burned.
- Swap behaviour
- Only exact-input swaps are allowed, partial fills revert, and nobody but the creator's dev buy can trade in the launch second. Swaps may be blocked by the allowlist, size caps, wallet cap or same-block sell rule, and the hook deducts its fee and taxes in ETH (plus any auto-burned tokens on buys).
- Liquidity behaviour
- Only the factory can add liquidity, and nothing ever removes it, so launch liquidity is locked for good. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook itself never runs on withdrawals, but there are no third-party LP positions.
- Fee behaviour
- The fee rate is set per pool at launch: either a static base fee, or a dynamic fee (base plus price impact, up to a configured max). A buy pays the anti-snipe launch fee instead when it is higher; that fee fades to zero over its window. The fee is capped at 99% in code, and buy/sell taxes plus an Exit Clock fee (which falls to zero with holding time) come on top. Fees split 60/40 creator/protocol and taxes 90/10, with any anti-snipe premium going entirely to the protocol; everything is held as claimable ETH.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can set the factory address once and claim accrued protocol fees. Pool rules are written by the factory at launch and cannot be changed afterwards.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: only the factory can create registered pools. beforeAddLiquidity: only the factory can add liquidity. beforeSwap: enforces launch rules and takes the buy fee and tax from the ETH input. afterSwap: checks caps, auto-burns tokens, takes the sell fee and tax from the ETH output, and runs buybacks. Swap return deltas: used to deduct those fees, taxes and burns.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: high (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: The owner can only set the factory once and withdraw the protocol's fee share. Each pool's creator picks the fees and limits at launch, and these are then frozen.
Risk to user funds: The hook takes fees and taxes from traders' swap ETH. The fee rate is capped at 99% by code, with taxes and the Exit Clock fee on top, as configured per pool. There are no external LP funds; launch liquidity is permanently locked by design.
Security findings
- [high] Very high fees possible per pool: Launch configuration can set fee rates up to 99%, plus buy/sell taxes and an Exit Clock fee on sells. The hook code does not cap these at a safe level; any factory-side limits are unknown from this source.
- [medium] Launch liquidity locked forever: Only the factory adds liquidity and none is ever removed, so pool depth is permanent but the liquidity cannot be withdrawn.
- [medium] Trading restrictions: Allowlist windows, per-second and per-wallet caps, and a same-block sell ban can revert trades during configured windows.
- [info] Rules immutable after launch: No admin can change a pool's fees or rules after registration, and the owner can only set the factory once and claim protocol fees.
