What it does

A launchpad hook that takes an unverified-size tax on every swap for a treasury and may restrict liquidity changes around a token launch.

This read was written for the hook 0xbb67…6fdc on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Attached to a token launch pool that pairs a launched token with a quote asset, with a canonical router and treasury address.
  • Charges a tax on swaps using swap return deltas, and tracks total tax and the number of taxed swaps.
  • Accrues tax for a treasury, which can be paid out through a withdrawTax function that takes the funds from the PoolManager.
  • Runs checks on pool initialization, liquidity changes and donations, likely to restrict the pool to the launch setup.
Swap behaviour
Before and after each swap the hook can adjust swap amounts to take a tax, which is credited to the treasury. The tax rate and any router or limit restrictions cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
Liquidity behaviour
Add and remove liquidity callbacks are active and may revert to restrict who can provide or withdraw liquidity. The hook cannot take LP tokens through liquidity return deltas, but whether withdrawals can be blocked is unknown.
Fee behaviour
A swap tax of unknown size is taken through return deltas and accrued for a treasury address. The exact percentage and any cap are not visible in the bytecode.
Owner & admin controls
No obvious owner setters were found. withdrawTax sends accrued tax to the treasury, and the hook calls an external launch contract for values such as the current limit and the IDO setup.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, afterAddLiquidity, beforeRemoveLiquidity, afterRemoveLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, afterDonate, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: validates pool setup; beforeAdd/afterAddLiquidity: checks or restricts liquidity adds; beforeRemove/afterRemoveLiquidity: checks withdrawals; beforeSwap/afterSwap with return deltas: takes swap tax; afterDonate: monitors or restricts donations.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, low confidence).

Who controls it: The treasury receives the tax, and the external launch contract appears to supply limits and settings. No upgrade path exists because the contract is not a proxy.

Risk to user funds: Traders pay a swap tax of unverified size. LP principal cannot be taken through liquidity deltas, but withdrawals may be gated by the remove-liquidity checks.

Security findings

  • [medium] Unverified swap tax: Swap return deltas let the hook deduct a tax from trades, but the rate and cap cannot be confirmed without source.
  • [medium] Remove-liquidity callbacks enabled: The withdrawal callbacks run on every withdrawal and could revert to restrict LP exits. The exact conditions are unknown.
  • [info] Treasury tax withdrawal: Accrued tax is tracked and withdrawn to a fixed treasury address via the PoolManager, which is standard fee collection.
