What it does
A launchpad hook that charges launch-fixed buy and sell fees (typically up to about 15%, with buys right after launch paying a decaying sniper fee up to 90%), splits them among protocol, creator, holders, buybacks and locked liquidity, and permanently locks the hook-owned pool liquidity.
This read was written for the hook 0xff30…aaec on Ethereum and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Launchpad hook: each Signal token launch gets a pool where the hook alone owns all liquidity, seeded by the factory; nobody else can add, remove or donate.
- Charges a fee on every swap in the quote asset (pool fee plus buy or sell tax, each set at launch up to 5%), plus optional size and price-deviation extras of up to 5% each.
- Optional sniper fee on buys only that starts as high as 90% at launch and decays linearly to the base rate over at most 10 minutes; sells never pay it.
- Anyone can trigger a flush that splits collected fees among the protocol (up to 50% share), the creator, token holders, a permanent liquidity bid, and guarded buyback-and-burn.
- Optional launch-window rules: a buy gate limited to approved routers, a whale wallet cap, a per-block buy budget, and a pot paid to every Nth buyer.
- Swap behaviour
- Only exact-input swaps are allowed; buys pay the fee from the quote input before the swap and sells pay it from the quote output after, with partial buy fills reverted. During optional launch windows (max 24 hours) buys can be restricted to approved routers, wallet caps or per-block budgets, but sells are never gated.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Only the factory can add liquidity, and removal always reverts: the launch position and fee-funded bids are permanently locked by design. There are no third-party LPs in these pools.
- Fee behaviour
- Base fee is pool fee plus the side's tax (each up to 5%), plus optional size and deviation extras up to 5% each, generally capped around 15% total; buys in the sniper window can pay up to 90% decaying to base within at most 600 seconds. Fees are held as PoolManager claims and split at flush between the protocol (up to 50%), creator and legs, holders, liquidity lock and burn.
- Owner & admin controls
- The factory owner can approve routers and set the prover that attests modules; the creator can propose fee-module and fee-split changes after a notice delay, constrained to a band and birth limits (creator share never above its launch share, rates never move). Fee rates themselves are fixed at launch.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeRemoveLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeDonate, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize blocks outside pool creation; beforeAddLiquidity allows only the factory; beforeRemoveLiquidity always reverts to lock liquidity; beforeDonate blocks donations; beforeSwap enforces exact-input, gating and takes buy fees; afterSwap takes sell fees, applies whale cap, budget and pot; return deltas carry the fee deductions.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium (verified source, medium confidence).
Who controls it: The factory owner controls approved routers and the prover key, and creators can redirect fee splits within launch-fixed limits after a notice period. No one can raise rates, pause sells, or withdraw pool liquidity.
Risk to user funds: The hook takes swap fees in the quote asset, normally up to about 15% and up to 90% for buys in the first seconds of a sniper window. Pool liquidity is permanently locked by design and no admin path can drain it.
Security findings
- [medium] High opening sniper fee on buys: A launch may set a buy-only fee starting up to 90% that decays linearly to base over at most 10 minutes; early buyers can lose most of their input.
- [info] Liquidity permanently locked: Removal always reverts, but the only liquidity is the hook-owned launch supply and fee-funded bids; no outside LP principal is trapped.
- [low] Creator-controlled fee module: A creator can switch the base rate source to a module after a delay and prover attestation, but the rate is clamped to a band fixed at launch.
- [low] Launch-window buy restrictions: Router gating, whale cap and block budget can refuse buys for up to 24 hours after launch; sells are never blocked.
