What it does
This hook charges owner-adjustable buy and sell fees on swaps and splits them between a team treasury and a holder pool, so traders pay these extra fees on both directions while LPs can withdraw freely.
How it works step by step
- Charges a buy-side fee in beforeSwap and a sell-side fee in afterSwap, taken directly from swap amounts.
- Splits each fee between a team treasury address and a holder pool address.
- Owner can change the four fee rates (buy team, buy holder, sell team, sell holder) and the two recipient addresses.
- Restricts pool creation to an authorized initializer via beforeInitialize.
- Does not touch liquidity adds or withdrawals.
- Swap behaviour
- On buys the hook deducts a team share and a holder share from the swap before it executes, and on sells it deducts team and holder shares from the swap output, sending them to the treasury and holder pool. The exact rates are owner-set and their upper cap cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks are enabled, so LPs can add and withdraw freely.
- Fee behaviour
- Separate buy and sell fees, expressed in basis points and split between a team treasury and a holder pool, are taken from swap amounts. The owner can change these rates, and no maximum cap could be verified from bytecode.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can call setFees to change the buy and sell team and holder fee rates, and setRecipients to change the treasury and holder pool addresses. Any limit on fee size is unknown from bytecode.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: only lets an authorized party create the pool; beforeSwap with return delta: takes the buy-side fee; afterSwap with return delta: takes the sell-side fee from output.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: A single owner controls the fee rates and recipient addresses. The worst case is raising buy or sell fees to an unknown, possibly high level that hurts traders.
Risk to user funds: The hook takes a share of trader swap amounts on buys and sells, at owner-set rates with an unverified maximum. LP principal cannot be locked or drained by this hook.
Security findings
- [medium] Owner-adjustable swap fees with unverified cap: setFees lets the owner change buy and sell fees that are deducted from swaps, and the bytecode does not show a confirmable maximum. If it is uncapped, fees could become very high, and sell fees could differ from buy fees.
- [info] Fee recipients changeable: The owner can redirect the team and holder fee shares to new addresses.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block or charge LP withdrawals.
