What it does

It charges a launch-protection fee that starts high and falls to the normal 1% over a set window after a Hashborn pool opens, so early bots pay more to buy into a fresh launch.

How it works step by step

  • Records each pool's opening timestamp in beforeInitialize, only for launchpad-initiated, dynamic-fee pools.
  • Computes a linearly decaying fee from startFee down to the 1% base fee over the configured window.
  • Returns the fee in beforeSwap with the override flag so v4 applies it to the swap.
  • Exempts the launchpad's own swap so the creator's capped first buy pays the base fee.
  • Keeps the fee as an ordinary LP fee that accrues to the launch position, which the launchpad later splits 80/20.
Swap behaviour
On every swap, beforeSwap returns a fee override: the launchpad's own creator buy pays 1%, and all other swaps pay the time-decaying launch fee for the pool's age, reaching 1% after the window.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks.
Fee behaviour
Each swap's LP fee is overridden by beforeSwap: pools opened by the launchpad pay startFee at the opening second, falling linearly to the 1% BASE_FEE over window seconds, then 1% thereafter. The launchpad's own swap (the creator's first buy) always pays 1%. Fees accrue to the position as normal LP fees.
Owner & admin controls
No admin controls found. There is no owner, pause, upgrade path or parameter setter; startFee, window, launchpad and poolManager are immutable, set once in the constructor.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeSwap

beforeInitialize: records each pool's opening timestamp, restricted to the launchpad and to dynamic-fee pool keys. beforeSwap: returns the time-decaying fee override for each swap.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: No privileged key exists after deployment, so no one can change fees, pause swaps or move funds. Trust is placed in the launchpad, which is the only address allowed to open pools on this hook and which mines the hook address at deployment.

Risk to user funds: The hook never touches currency and holds no balances, so it cannot hold, move or lock user or pool funds. It only sets the LP fee on swaps, and that fee is paid to the position.

Security findings

  • [info] Hook cannot block or custody swaps: beforeSwap is a view function that never reverts for valid pools and returns no return delta, so it cannot block swaps or take currency.
  • [info] No admin levers: Every parameter is immutable and there is no owner, pause or setter, so the fee schedule cannot be changed after deployment.
  • [low] Very high early fees by design: The fee starts at up to 99% for the first seconds of a launch, which means early buyers pay very high fees; this is intended launch protection but is a large cost to any trader who swaps early.
  • [info] Protection depends on launchpad routing: Only pools opened by the launchpad with a dynamic-fee key are recorded; pools without an opening time fall back to the base fee, so the protection depends on the launchpad routing pools through this hook.
