What it does

This launchpad hook charges a frozen 1% to about 12% ETH fee on all trades, or up to 99% on buys right after launch, splits it among the platform, dev, traders, holders and buyback-burn, limits only buys, and permanently locks pool liquidity.

How it works step by step

  • Runs every HookFun ETH/launch-token pool, which the launchpad registers and seeds. Only the launchpad can add liquidity, and nobody can ever remove it, so liquidity is permanently locked.
  • Charges an ETH fee on every trade. The creator sets it at launch between 1% and 10%, plus up to 1% for each of at most two optional market modules.
  • Applies an anti-snipe buy fee that starts at 99% at launch and falls linearly to the base fee over the creator-set window. Nobody can trade in the launch block.
  • Splits fees as follows: module builders get their cut, the platform gets 20%, and the rest goes to the dev, trader cashback, holder ETH rewards and buyback-and-burn, by shares frozen at launch.
  • Can limit buys with a per-block token cap, a max ETH per buy, a max price impact, and optional read-only modules that may refuse a buy. Sells are never blocked.
Swap behaviour
Every swap pays an ETH fee that the hook takes from the swap. Buys can revert during the launch block, when exceeding the per-block cap, max buy size or price impact limit, or when a module refuses them; sells only pay the base fee and are never gated, though partially filled orders revert.
Liquidity behaviour
Only the launchpad can add liquidity. Removing liquidity always reverts, so pool liquidity is permanently locked, and donations are refused.
Fee behaviour
The base fee is the creator's 1% to 10% plus up to 1% per active module, so at most 12%, frozen per pool. Buys during the snipe window pay up to 99%, decaying to the base fee, and that extra goes to buyback-and-burn. The base fee is split with 20% to the platform and the rest to the dev, trader cashback, token holders and burn, by launch-set shares.
Owner & admin controls
The owner can set the treasury that receives the 20% platform share, set the launchpad once, and approve or permanently disable market modules. Disabling a module only removes its checks and fees. Fees and limits are frozen per pool, and ownership cannot be renounced.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeRemoveLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeDonate, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: only the launchpad can create registered pools; beforeAddLiquidity: only the launchpad adds liquidity; beforeRemoveLiquidity: always reverts, locking liquidity; beforeSwap: blocks launch-block trades and charges the fee on ETH-specified swaps; afterSwap: charges the fee on the other swap types and enforces buy limits; beforeDonate: refuses donations; return deltas: take the ETH fee from swaps.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: high (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: The owner, using two-step ownership, controls the treasury address and module approval or disabling, and cannot raise fees or block sells. The launchpad is the only party that can create pools and add liquidity.

Risk to user funds: Traders pay 1% to about 12% per trade, or up to 99% on early buys, and fees are held in the hook as claimable ETH. LP liquidity can never be removed.

Security findings

  • [high] Liquidity permanently locked: beforeRemoveLiquidity always reverts, so liquidity in these pools can never be withdrawn. This is the intended launchpad design, but the principal is locked forever.
  • [medium] 99% anti-snipe buy fee: Buys right after launch pay up to 99%, decaying linearly to the base fee over the creator's window. That extra fee funds buyback-and-burn.
  • [info] Bounded base fee: The creator fee is 1% to 10% and each module adds at most 1%. Values are frozen per pool, and the admin can only reduce fees by disabling a module.
  • [info] Sells never gated: Buy limits and modules apply only to buys, so holders can always sell, paying the base fee.
