What it does
A fee-free gatekeeper for prediction-market YES/NO pools that allows swaps only before close time, while not halted or resolved, and within fixed price bounds, while LPs can always withdraw.
How it works step by step
- Gates trading on the YES and NO pools of SpinClick prediction markets.
- Blocks swaps after the market's close time, when the factory has halted trading, once the market is finalized, or once the oracle has certified the outcome round.
- Reverts any swap that would push the pool price outside the fixed tick range set when the pool was registered.
- Only the factory can register and initialize pools with this hook.
- Charges no fees and never touches liquidity adds or withdrawals.
- Swap behaviour
- Before each swap the hook checks the close time, the factory's global halt flag, the market status and the oracle's certified round, and reverts if any of them says trading should stop. After the swap it reverts if the price has moved outside the pool's fixed tick bounds.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
- Fee behaviour
- Uses the pool's static fee; the hook takes no fees.
- Owner & admin controls
- The hook has no owner. The immutable factory registers each pool once with its close time and tick bounds, and the factory's halt flag (controlled outside this contract) can stop all swaps.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap
beforeInitialize: only lets the factory create registered pools; beforeSwap: enforces close time, halt, finalization and oracle gates; afterSwap: enforces the fixed price (tick) bounds.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: The immutable factory alone registers pools and controls a global trading halt read by the hook. The worst it can do is stop swaps; it cannot touch funds or block withdrawals.
Risk to user funds: The hook holds no funds and takes no fees (0%). LP principal cannot be locked or drained by this hook.
Security findings
- [medium] External halt switch can pause swaps: Swaps revert whenever the factory reports trading halted, so whoever controls that flag in the factory can pause trading on all market pools.
- [info] Swaps depend on external market and oracle contracts: Swaps read the market status and the oracle's certified round, so trading stops once the outcome is being revealed. This is by design for prediction markets.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled and there are no return deltas, so LPs can always exit and the hook cannot take tokens.
