What it does
Every SPY/QUANT swap, buy or sell, pays an extra fixed SPY fee of 2% during the minting phase and 1% afterward, sent to a reserve that funds QUANT buyback-and-burns, while LPs can withdraw freely.
How it works step by step
- Charges a fee in the SPY token on every swap in the SPY/QUANT pool, whether buying or selling QUANT.
- Fee is 2% while the linked Quantum NFT collection is still minting (under 4,000 minted), then drops to 1% permanently.
- All fees are sent to a fixed reserve contract; part is earmarked for QUANT buybacks.
- Buybacks pull SPY back from the reserve, swap it for QUANT in the same pool, and send the QUANT to a dead address (burn).
- No owner or admin; all rates and addresses are fixed at deployment.
- Swap behaviour
- On each swap the hook takes 2% (minting phase) or 1% (later phases) of the SPY side of the trade, either from SPY input before the swap or from the SPY amount after it. After the swap it tries to run any pending buyback, which swaps SPY for QUANT and burns the QUANT; a failed buyback does not revert the user's swap.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
- Fee behaviour
- Hook fee of 2% in phase 0 (all of it ear-marked for reserve), 1% in phase 1 (0.5% reserve, 0.5% buyback) and 1% in phase 2 (all buyback), always in SPY and on top of the pool's static LP fee. All fee SPY is transferred to the immutable RESERVE contract, which supplies the buyback amount later.
- Owner & admin controls
- No admin controls found. Fee rates are hard-coded constants and phases change automatically based on the Quantum contract's minted count and supply.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeSwap: takes the fee when the user specifies a SPY amount; beforeSwapReturnDelta: charges that fee to the swapper; afterSwap: takes the fee on the SPY leg when the QUANT amount was specified and triggers buybacks; afterSwapReturnDelta: charges that post-swap fee to the swapper.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: There is no owner; all parameters and addresses are immutable. The reserve contract's controller decides what happens to collected SPY beyond buybacks.
Risk to user funds: The hook only takes 1% to 2% of the SPY side of each swap. It never runs on liquidity changes, so LP principal cannot be locked or drained.
Security findings
- [info] Fixed, capped swap fee: The hook fee is hard-coded at 2% or 1% depending on phase and cannot be changed by anyone.
- [low] Depends on external reserve and Quantum contracts: Fees go to a fixed reserve contract and buybacks rely on it returning SPY; phase depends on the Quantum contract's reported numbers, but fees can never exceed 2%.
- [info] Buyback swaps move price: Automatic buybacks are market buys of QUANT with no price limit, which can be sandwiched, but only use fee funds, not user or LP principal.
