What it does
A fixed, non-upgradeable fee hook for stock/USDC pools that charges 3bp on swaps under $1,000 and 5bp on larger swaps.
How it works step by step
- Validates on pool initialization that the pool uses a dynamic fee and includes USDC as one of its currencies
- Computes each swap's size in USDC units, handling both exact-in and exact-out and converting stock amounts at the current sqrtPrice
- Returns a 3bp fee override for swaps strictly under $1,000 USDC and a 5bp override otherwise
- Leaves liquidity, donate and after-swap callbacks unimplemented, so they revert if invoked
- Holds no tokens and has no owner, settings or upgrade mechanism
- Swap behaviour
- Before each swap the hook converts the swap size into USDC (using the pool's current price for stock-side amounts) and returns a fee override of 3bp for trades below $1,000 or 5bp otherwise. It returns zero delta and moves no tokens.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks.
- Fee behaviour
- Sets the LP fee per swap via an override flag: 3bp (300) when the swap's USDC-denominated size is strictly below $1,000, otherwise 5bp (500). Size for stock-side amounts is converted at the pool's current sqrtPrice from slot0. The hook does not take a protocol cut or redirect fees.
- Owner & admin controls
- No admin controls found. No owner, no setters, no pause, no upgrade path; all fee parameters and the USDC token are constants or immutables fixed at deployment.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap
beforeInitialize: validates the pool is dynamic-fee and has USDC as one currency. beforeSwap: computes trade size in USDC and returns the fee override for that swap.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: No privileged key exists. Nothing can be changed after deployment, so there is no centralization risk from an operator.
Risk to user funds: The hook cannot hold, move or block user or pool funds. Its worst-case effect is mis-pricing the fee on swaps in pools that chose this hook.
Security findings
- [info] No token custody or delta flags: The hook only sets a fee and returns zero delta, so it never holds or transfers tokens and cannot seize pool funds.
- [low] Fee tier depends on spot price for stock-side swaps: usdcSize converts stock amounts using the current pool price; a manipulated spot price could shift which fee tier a trade falls into, though the fee difference is only 2bp.
- [info] Minimal permission surface: Only beforeInitialize and beforeSwap are enabled; the other callbacks revert with HookNotImplemented, so pools cannot be disrupted through liquidity or donate hooks.
- [info] Oversized amounts default to base fee: If the swap size calculation saturates to type(uint256).max, the fee resolves to 5bp; this is a safe fallback and cannot block swaps.
