How it works step by step

  • Acts as the hook for pools created by a linked launchpad contract; only the launchpad can register pools.

Swap behaviour
Before and after each swap the hook can charge a tax, such as a snipe tax for non-exempt traders early in a launch, by changing the swap amounts. The exact tax rates and how fast they decay cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
Liquidity behaviour
After liquidity is added the hook runs and can change the amounts the LP settles, and it tracks per-pool reserves. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block or charge LP withdrawals.
