What it does
Takes a fixed 2% fee in native ETH on every buy and sell of the Blendfi launch token in its single canonical Uniswap V4 pool and forwards it to an immutable fee recipient.
How it works step by step
- Binds to the canonical ETH/launch-token pool at initialize and refuses any other pool key or non-launch initializer.
- Charges 2% of the ETH leg on buys and 2% on sells, using the appropriate callback for which currency is specified.
- Sends each fee immediately to the immutable FEE_RECIPIENT via a native take, so the hook holds no balance.
- Grosses up exact-output fees so the realised fee equals the stated rate of the ETH that moved.
- Refuses swaps where the settled ETH does not match the reserved fee, preventing overcharge on partial fills.
- Emits LaunchHookFee on every charged swap and LaunchPoolBound once at pool creation.
- Swap behaviour
- On each swap the hook charges 2% of the ETH leg in beforeSwap when ETH is the specified currency (exact-in buys, exact-out sells) or in afterSwap when ETH is the unspecified currency (exact-in sells, exact-out buys), sending the fee to FEE_RECIPIENT and billing it to the swapper via a returned delta.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks. Liquidity add and remove are not hooked and not taxed.
- Fee behaviour
- Charges ENTRY_FEE_BPS (200 bps, 2%) on buys and EXIT_FEE_BPS (200 bps, 2%) on sells, taken in native ETH and sent to the immutable FEE_RECIPIENT. Exact-input fees are a percentage of the amount named; exact-output fees are grossed up so the fee equals the rate of the ETH that moved. The pool LP fee is a static 1% tier.
- Owner & admin controls
- No owner, setter, pause, upgrade or withdrawal function found in the verified source. Admin surface is limited to the immutable constructor arguments (fee recipient, launch token, launch initializer, entry and exit rates), which cannot be changed after deployment.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: restricts pool creation to the canonical ETH/launch-token pool and only to the immutable launch initializer. beforeSwap: charges the fee when ETH is the specified currency and returns the fee as a specified delta. afterSwap: charges the fee when ETH is the unspecified currency and returns the fee as an unspecified delta, and also refuses swaps where the settled ETH does not match the reserved fee. beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta: allow the hook to return deltas that bill the fee to the swapper.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: No privileged key exists; the immutable configuration is fixed at deploy time. The fee recipient is set at construction and cannot be changed, so no one can redirect or raise the fee after launch.
Risk to user funds: The hook holds no balance and has no withdrawal path. Fees are taken from the swap and pushed to FEE_RECIPIENT within the same transaction, with the hook netting to zero. Users' exposure is the 2% fee per side plus the pool's 1% LP fee; the hook cannot move or block pool liquidity or tokens outside the swap path.
Security findings
- [info] Single-pool binding and caller gate: The hook is bound to one canonical pool at initialize and rejects any key with a different fee, spacing, token or hook address. Only the immutable launch initializer may open the pool.
- [medium] Recipient liveness is a deploy-time check only: The fee recipient is probed with a 1 wei native transfer at construction. A recipient that later reverts or consumes excessive gas on ETH receipt would make taxed swaps revert, with no runtime remedy.
- [low] Rival pools cannot be prevented: Pools without this hook, or with a different hook, can still exist and trade the same token. Donations are not hooked and do not pay the hook. The hook does not stop rival pools.
- [info] Partial fills revert on fee mismatch: Exact-output swaps that would partially fill, where the settled ETH differs from the reserved fee, are refused rather than overcharged. Traders who set tight price limits may see reverts.
- [low] Recipient identity relies on off-chain verification: Immutable rates and recipient cannot be fixed after deploy. Correctness depends on the deploy script reading back FEE_RECIPIENT and its code hash against the audited fee pool contract.
