What it does
A launchpad token-tax hook: every swap of a registered token pays a bounded tax, split among the creator, platform treasury and a burn, while LPs can withdraw freely.
This read was written for the hook 0xbbe0…20cc on Ethereum and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Charges a tax on swaps for registered launchpad tokens, taken from the swap amounts through the hook's swap deltas.
- Splits collected tax between the token creator, a platform treasury, and a burn bucket handled by an external 'engine' contract.
- Only lets pools be created for tokens registered through a factory, with tax rates bounded by built-in minimum and maximum constants.
- Creators and the treasury claim their accrued shares later. Burn amounts are pushed to the engine contract.
- Swap behaviour
- On each swap of a registered token, the hook takes a tax from the input or output using its swap delta permissions and books it as owed to the creator, treasury and burn buckets. The exact rate comes from per-token settings set at registration.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
- Fee behaviour
- Each token has a configured tax limited by on-chain minimum and maximum constants, with a fixed platform share. The exact percentages cannot be read from bytecode alone. Proceeds go to the token creator, the treasury and a burn bucket.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can set the factory and engine addresses, apparently only once based on an AlreadySet error. The factory registers tokens with tax settings and creator addresses, and creator addresses can be changed later.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: restricts pools to registered tokens; beforeSwap: computes and takes tax on exact-input side; afterSwap: takes tax from output side; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct the tax from swap amounts.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: The owner sets the factory and engine, and the factory sets per-token tax and creators within the hard-coded bounds. No pause or allowlist functions were found.
Risk to user funds: The hook takes only the swap tax from traders, within unverified min/max bounds, and holds it as claimable balances. LP principal cannot be locked or drained.
Security findings
- [low] Swap tax via return deltas: The hook deducts a per-token tax from swaps. The rate is bounded by min/max constants whose values were not decoded.
- [low] External engine and factory dependency: Burn amounts and registration rely on owner-set engine and factory contracts, and they appear to be set only once.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so LPs can always withdraw.
