What it does
Routes swaps through an external order book with a capped, owner-set platform fee and possible creator fee deducted from trades, while LPs can add and remove liquidity freely.
This read was written for the hook 0x3333…e0cc on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Routes swaps in registered pools through an external order book vault, filling trades against booked orders instead of (or alongside) normal pool liquidity.
- Uses swap return deltas to replace or adjust the swap amounts, and reverts if an order is not fully filled.
- Charges a platform fee (and possibly a per-pool creator fee) on swaps, both capped by hard-coded maximums whose values are not visible in bytecode.
- Only pools registered by a factory-like caller can initialize with this hook.
- Owner can set the platform fee within its cap and has an emergency withdraw function for tokens held by the hook.
- Swap behaviour
- Before and after each swap the hook can take over the trade, booking it against an external vault/order book and changing the amounts the trader pays or receives; swaps revert if the order cannot be fully filled. A platform fee and possibly a creator fee are deducted, with exact percentages unknown from bytecode.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
- Fee behaviour
- A platform fee set by the owner applies to swaps, limited by a hard-coded maximum, and a per-pool creator fee with its own maximum may also apply. The exact percentages and the recipients cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can change the platform fee up to a hard-coded maximum (reverts with FeeTooHigh beyond it) and can call emergencyWithdraw to move any tokens held by the hook contract. Ownership uses a two-step transfer and can be renounced.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: only allows registered pools to start; beforeSwap: decides routing and amounts before the trade; afterSwap: settles fills and fees after the trade; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: lets the hook change what traders pay or receive.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, low confidence).
Who controls it: A single owner sets the platform fee within a hard-coded cap and can sweep tokens held by the hook. The owner cannot block LP withdrawals.
Risk to user funds: The hook can alter trader swap amounts and deduct fees up to unverified caps, and the owner can sweep any balance the hook holds. LP principal in the pool cannot be locked or drained by this hook.
Security findings
- [medium] Swap amounts controlled by hook: Swap return deltas are enabled, so the hook decides how much traders pay and receive; fee caps exist but their values cannot be verified from bytecode.
- [low] Owner emergency withdraw: The owner can withdraw any tokens sitting in the hook contract itself; pool reserves held by the PoolManager are not affected.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so LPs can always withdraw.
