What it does

An immutable launchpad hook that charges every trader, except the vault's own buybacks, a fixed fee of up to 10% in BAWSAQ (more BAWSAQ paid on buys, less BAWSAQ received on sells) and sends it to the vault for the coin creator, or also to coin holders on dividend launches, while LP withdrawals stay unrestricted.

This read was written for the hook 0xc502…68cc on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Runs the fee layer for launchpad pools that pair a new coin against the BAWSAQ token; the pools themselves charge a 0% LP fee.
  • Takes a per-launch fee, set once at launch between above 0% and 10%, always in BAWSAQ: from the input when you buy and from the output when you sell.
  • Credits the fees as claim tokens to a fixed vault, which later passes them on to the coin's creator; on launches with dividends turned on, each fee is also credited to the coin for its holders.
  • Only the launchpad can open a pool and only the vault can add liquidity; the vault's own buybacks pay no fee.
  • There is no owner and no settings to change; fee rates cannot be changed after a pool launches.
Swap behaviour
Every swap except the vault's own buybacks pays the pool's fixed rate (up to 10%) on the BAWSAQ side of the trade, so buyers pay a bit more BAWSAQ in and sellers receive a bit less BAWSAQ out. The fee is the same whether the trade is exact-input or exact-output, and it is rounded down.
Liquidity behaviour
Only the vault can add liquidity; anyone else's deposit is rejected. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block or charge withdrawals.
Fee behaviour
A fixed per-pool fee is set at launch, greater than 0% and at most 10%, and is charged in BAWSAQ on the BAWSAQ leg of each swap. It goes to the vault as claim tokens for the creator, and on dividend launches it is also credited to coin holders.
Owner & admin controls
No admin controls found. The launchpad picks each pool's fee once, capped at 10%, and only the vault can release a pool's accrued fee balance.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: blocks direct pool creation so pools open only through the launchpad; beforeAddLiquidity: allows only the vault to add liquidity; beforeSwap with return delta: takes the fee when BAWSAQ is the exact amount you set; afterSwap with return delta: takes the fee when BAWSAQ is the amount that results from the swap.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: There is no owner, and all key addresses are fixed at deployment. The launchpad sets each pool's fee once, within the 10% cap, and nothing can be changed afterward.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes 0% to 10% of the BAWSAQ leg of each swap and sends it to the vault. It cannot touch LP principal or block withdrawals.

Security findings

  • [info] Hard 10% fee cap: Each pool's fee is fixed at launch and the code rejects any rate above 10% or equal to 0%.
  • [info] Liquidity restricted to the vault: Only the vault can add liquidity, and withdrawals are never handled by the hook.
  • [low] Dividend coin call during swaps: On dividend launches, each swap notifies the coin contract of the fee. If that coin's function reverts, swaps in that pool would fail.
