What it does
This hook charges every buy and sell in its ETH/token pool a fixed 2% ETH toll sent to a director-chosen keeper, while LPs keep full freedom to add and withdraw.
This read was written for the hook 0x4f39…a0cc on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Charges a fixed 2% toll in ETH on every swap in a single ETH/token pool, both buys and sells.
- Collected tolls are held as PoolManager ETH claims and can be sent by anyone calling remit to the keeper address.
- Only an address with director clearance can initialize the one pool this hook serves (ETH paired with the project token, static fee only).
- The hook can hold a locked liquidity position NFT for a fixed term; directors can skim its fees, extend the lock, and release or dissolve it after expiry.
- Directors can change the keeper (toll recipient) and recover stray tokens other than the project token.
- Swap behaviour
- Every swap pays a 2% toll taken from the ETH side: buyers pay 2% extra ETH on input, and sellers receive 2% less ETH on output. The toll is a hard-coded constant and cannot be changed.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely. Only the hook-owned locked position is time-locked, and that lock applies only to liquidity deliberately sent to the hook.
- Fee behaviour
- A fixed 2% ETH toll on both buy and sell swaps, on top of the pool's static LP fee, accrued to the hook and paid out to the keeper address set by directors.
- Owner & admin controls
- Directors (determined by an external clearance registry) can change the toll recipient, manage the hook-held locked LP position (extend anytime, release or burn only after the lock ends), and recover non-project tokens or ETH held directly by the hook. They cannot change the 2% toll rate.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize restricts pool creation to a director-approved ETH/token pool; beforeSwap takes the 2% toll when ETH is the specified input/output amount; afterSwap takes the 2% toll on the ETH leg otherwise; the swap return-delta bits let the hook collect these tolls.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: Directors listed in an external registry control the toll recipient and the hook-owned locked liquidity position. They cannot alter the toll rate or touch other LPs' positions.
Risk to user funds: Traders lose a fixed 2% of the ETH side of each swap to the toll. Regular LP principal cannot be locked or drained; only liquidity voluntarily given to the hook is time-locked.
Security findings
- [info] Fixed 2% swap toll: Buy and sell tolls are hard-coded constants at 2% each and cannot be raised.
- [low] Director role from external registry: Who counts as director is decided by an external contract, which can redirect the toll recipient and control the hook-held locked position after its term ends.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so regular LPs can always withdraw.
