What it does

Folio launch pools charge a fixed buy fee and a fixed sell fee (each 0% to 20%, set at launch) taken in ETH from every swap and sent to the pool's fee wallet, while LPs can add and withdraw freely.

How it works step by step

  • Shared hook for every pool launched by the Folio factory; only the factory can open pools on it.
  • Each pool has its own buy fee and sell fee, each capped at 20%, set once at launch and never changeable afterward.
  • The fee is always taken in ETH (currency0) and sent straight to that pool's fee wallet.
  • Does not touch liquidity, so LPs can add and withdraw freely.
Swap behaviour
On each swap the hook takes the pool's buy fee (ETH to token) or sell fee (token to ETH) as a cut of the ETH side of the trade, either from the ETH amount before the swap or from the ETH leg after it. The cut is sent directly to the pool's fee wallet, and there are no cooldowns or trade restrictions.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
Fee behaviour
Each pool has a fixed buy fee and sell fee between 0% and 20% of the ETH amount, chosen by the factory at launch and fixed permanently. Fees are paid in ETH to the pool's fee recipient wallet, on top of the pool's normal LP fee.
Owner & admin controls
No owner or setters. The factory sets each pool's fee wallet and buy/sell fees once, capped at 20% each, and they cannot be changed afterward.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: only the factory can create pools, and only after it has registered their fees; beforeSwap: takes the ETH fee from the input or exact-output amount when ETH is the specified side; afterSwap: takes the ETH fee from the ETH leg otherwise; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook adjust swap amounts to collect the fee.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: The factory alone registers each pool's fee wallet and fee rates (max 20% buy and 20% sell) at launch. Nobody can change them afterward.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes 0% to 20% of the ETH side of each swap and sends it to the fee wallet. It holds no funds and cannot touch LP principal; withdrawals are unrestricted.

Security findings

  • [low] Fees up to 20% per side: Buy and sell fees can each be set up to 20% of the ETH amount at launch. They are fixed after that, so check a pool's rates before trading.
  • [info] Immutable, no owner: The contract is not a proxy and has no admin functions. Fees cannot be raised after a pool launches.
  • [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block or charge LP withdrawals.
