What it does
A bookkeeping hook on one LEV7 pool that, after each swap that buys LEV7 out of the pool, records the bought amount against a daily validation allowance capped by protocol burn credit, without changing swap prices or fees.
How it works step by step
- Runs only in afterSwap and only for the single pool whose PoolKey id matches the stored poolId.
- Detects LEV7 bought by the swapper from the sign of the pool-manager delta on the LEV7 side.
- Computes today's budget from buy credit accrued by the fee hook plus matched validation credit, capped by a daily cap.
- Caps the recorded amount to the remaining budget and writes it to allowanceConsumedForEpoch for the current UTC day.
- Exposes validationAllowanceToday as a read-only quote of remaining allowance.
- Returns a zero delta, so it never alters swap outcomes.
- Swap behaviour
- After each swap in the bound pool where LEV7 flows out to the swapper, the hook caps the bought amount to today's remaining validation allowance, adds it to the day's consumed total and emits Validated. Swap amounts and prices are not changed.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks.
- Fee behaviour
- Does not change fees. The hook returns a zero delta and never sets or overrides the pool fee; swap economics are untouched.
- Owner & admin controls
- No owner or admin functions on the hook itself; all values are immutable constructor parameters. The hook is not upgradeable and has no pause or parameter setter. The linked BurnCredit contract is Ownable and controls spender allowlists and the one-shot binding spender, but the hook does not call those admin paths.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
afterSwap
afterSwap: the only enabled callback. After each swap in the bound pool it measures the LEV7 amount bought by the swapper and records that amount against today's validation allowance, emitting Validated.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: The hook has no privileged key. Its behaviour depends on the external validator, fee hook and BurnCredit contracts it reads, which were checked at construction but may have their own owners and upgrade paths that were not analysed here.
Risk to user funds: The hook holds no funds and returns zero deltas, so it cannot move, lock or take user or pool funds. Its afterSwap path reverts only on unexpected conditions; _validate itself is written not to revert.
Security findings
- [info] Fail-soft budget reads: Validation allowance is computed from external fee-hook and validator view calls; if those calls revert, the budget silently becomes zero rather than failing the swap.
- [info] No swap economics changed: The hook never modifies swap amounts, fees or deltas and does not hold tokens, so it cannot block swaps through its own code path.
- [info] Bookkeeping only: The validation budget is recorded in storage and emitted as an event only; the hook does not reduce any user balance or mint or burn tokens by itself. Actual burning is performed by the separate BurnCredit spender system.
