What it does
A launch-gate and liquidity-lock hook that blocks all swaps until the owner enables trading, then lets every trade pay only the pool's normal fee, while the project's own liquidity stays time-locked.
How it works step by step
- Lets only one pool be initialized with this hook (blocks re-initialization).
- Blocks all swaps until the owner calls a one-time enableTrading function.
- Holds the project's own liquidity position NFT and locks it until an unlock time, which the owner can only extend.
- After the lock ends, the owner can unwind that locked liquidity. The owner can also collect its trading fees at any time.
- Swap behaviour
- Before each swap, the hook checks whether trading has been enabled and reverts with a trading-not-enabled error if not. Once enabled, swaps run normally with no extra fee or deduction.
- Liquidity behaviour
- No liquidity callbacks are active, so other LPs can add and withdraw freely. The hook separately custodies a locked team or launch position NFT that the owner can only withdraw after the lock expires.
- Fee behaviour
- Uses the pool's static fee. The owner can collect the fees earned by the hook-held locked position and send them to an address of their choice.
- Owner & admin controls
- The owner can enable trading, which appears to be one-way, lock the position NFT, extend (never shorten) the lock, transfer the position after unlock, unwind liquidity after unlock, and collect position fees. Ownership uses a two-step transfer and can be renounced.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeSwap
beforeInitialize: records the pool and prevents a second initialization. beforeSwap: reverts swaps until trading is enabled.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: low, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: A single owner controls trading launch and the locked position. The worst they can do is never enable trading, or remove the project's own liquidity after the lock expires.
Risk to user funds: The hook cannot touch traders' swap amounts or third-party LP funds and charges no extra fee. Only the owner's own locked position NFT is held by the hook.
Security findings
- [low] Trading gate before launch: Swaps revert until the owner enables trading. No function to disable trading again was found, so after launch the gate appears permanent-open.
- [info] Liquidity lock can only be extended: The hook-held position has an unlock time that can only be pushed later. The owner can unwind it or transfer it only after unlock, though fees can be collected anytime.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks and return deltas are disabled, so the hook cannot block or tax other LPs or take swap tokens.
