How it works step by step

  • Registers launch-token/quote pools through the factory and enforces the configured tax split at registration
  • Takes a total tax of up to 500 bps (protocol 40 bps plus creator bps) on quote-side swap volume via return deltas
  • Accrues protocol fees to the treasury and creator fees to fixed recipients by weight
  • Routes referral share to a referrer looked up from the referral registry when the router passes a trader address
  • Holds a buyback share that a trusted executor can use to buy the launch token and burn it
  • Lets beneficiaries claim accrued quote-currency balances through the pool manager unlock flow
Swap behaviour
Taxed pools accept only exact-input swaps. On quote-in swaps the tax is taken in beforeSwap as a return delta and minted to the hook; on quote-out sells the tax is taken in afterSwap as a return delta. Untaxed pools and non-quote-side swaps pass through with zero delta.

Fee behaviour
Charges a fixed per-pool tax on quote-side swap volume: protocol 40 bps plus creator bps, total capped at 500 bps. Tax is taken as a return delta (beforeSwap on exact-input quote-in swaps, afterSwap on sell-side quote-out). Protocol share goes to treasury, creator share to registered recipients, referral share to the referrer when the router passes a trader address with a registered referrer, and buyback share is held for burn-and-buy.
Owner & admin controls
No owner or pause controls on the hook itself. bootstrapAdmin can only call initializeFactory once to set the factory address. Factory (set once) gates registerPool and beforeInitialize. Treasury address is immutable and receives protocol fees via claimable accounting. Recipient weights and fee rates are fixed at pool registration with no setter.

beforeInitialize restricts pool creation to the factory-registered pools. beforeSwap computes and mints the tax as a return delta on quote-input exact-in swaps. afterSwap accounts sell-side tax and mints it. beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta are enabled so the hook can claim part of the swap amount.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: No privileged key can change fees, recipients or pause swaps after registration. Trust is placed in the factory, which can register pools and whose addresses (router, referral registry, treasury) are validated once at initialization. Treasury receives protocol fees and could claim them.

Risk to user funds: The hook holds quote-currency ERC6909 claims accrued from tax and withdraws them only to the configured treasury, referrers, creators or buyback executor. Users cannot be blocked from swapping by an admin key; the main exposure is that every taxed buy or sell pays the configured tax.
