What it does

An immutable launchpad tax hook that charges every trade a 2% to 11% quote-asset fee (1% base plus a fixed 1% to 10% creator tax) paid to the launch's splitter and treasury, with a steep surcharge starting at 99% for the first 3 seconds to deter snipers, while LPs earn no pool fee but can always withdraw.

This read was written for the hook 0xd9d3…20cc on Arc and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Charges every swap a fee in the quote asset (e.g. USDC): a fixed 1% base fee plus the creator's buy or sell tax of 1% to 10%, for 2% to 11% in total per side.
  • Sets the pool's own LP fee to zero on every swap, so the hook collects the whole fee and sends it to the launch's fee splitter. Part of it can be accrued as holder dividends, and any dust goes to the treasury.
  • For the first 3 seconds after launch, adds an opening anti-sniper surcharge that starts at 99% and halves rapidly, paid to the treasury. Total fee plus surcharge is capped at 99% of the trade, and exact-output swaps are refused during this window.
  • Exempts protocol machines (portal, splitter, burn, liquidity and lock executors) from all fees. A one-time launch list of wallets can skip only the opening surcharge.
  • Binds itself to a single dynamic-fee pool at launch and records bonding and 'king of the hill' price milestones.
Swap behaviour
Each swap pays the creator tax plus a 1% base fee (2% to 11% total) in the quote asset, taken from the input or the output depending on the swap's shape. During the first 3 seconds after launch, an extra surcharge starting at 99% applies (total capped at 99%) and exact-output swaps revert.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely. Because the pool fee is forced to 0%, LPs earn no swap fees from this pool.
Fee behaviour
Buy and sell taxes are fixed at deployment between 1% and 10% each, plus a 1% base fee, so totals range from 2% to 11%. The fees go to the splitter (with an optional dividend share for token holders), and the 3-second opening surcharge (up to a 99% combined cap) goes to the treasury.
Owner & admin controls
No owner and no setters; tax rates and recipients are immutable. The portal can only make one-time calls at launch to set the bond and KOTH ticks and the surcharge-exempt wallet list.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: binds the hook to one portal-created dynamic-fee pool; beforeSwap: sets the pool fee to zero and takes the fee when the quote is the specified amount; afterSwap: takes the fee from the unspecified quote side, pays recipients and records milestones; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct the fee from swap amounts.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low, estimated (decoded bytecode, high confidence).

Who controls it: No admin keys exist; all parameters are immutable. The portal only performs one-time setup calls at launch.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes 2% to 11% of each swap in the quote asset, or up to 99% only during the first 3 seconds after launch. It cannot touch LP principal, and withdrawals are unrestricted.

Security findings

  • [low] Opening snipe surcharge up to 99%: For 3 seconds after launch, swaps pay a decaying surcharge starting at 99%, with fee plus surcharge capped at 99% of the gross quote amount. It goes to the treasury and then disappears permanently.
  • [info] Immutable fees capped at 11%: The per-side tax is fixed in the constructor at 1% to 10%, plus a 1% base fee, and no one can change it later.
  • [info] Protocol addresses trade fee-free: The portal, splitter and three executor contracts pay no fees or surcharge, by design for housekeeping buys.
  • [info] LPs earn no pool fee: The dynamic pool fee is always overridden to 0%, so all fees flow to the hook's recipients rather than to liquidity providers.
