What it does

A Memespad launchpad hook that charges a creator-set tax on each swap of a launched token and routes it to creator and platform fees, buy-and-burn, dividends and auto-liquidity.

How it works step by step

  • Enforces a snipe window and a max buy quote during the fair launch period of each registered token
  • Charges a buy or sell tax (capped at 10%) on swaps via before or after swap return deltas
  • Splits each fee into creator and platform fees, burn, dividend and auto-liquidity buckets according to per-token allocations
  • Buys tokens with the burn bucket and sends them to the dead address once a threshold is reached
  • Mints a one-sided concentrated liquidity position from the liquidity bucket and sends the resulting NFT-equivalent position to the hook
  • Flushes accumulated dividend funds to the dividend pool when a threshold is reached
Swap behaviour
On each swap of a registered token, a buy or sell tax (up to 10%) is taken in the quote currency. The fair launch window enforces a snipe block and max-buy limit.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks are enabled. The hook itself mints a one-sided concentrated liquidity position from accumulated fees once a threshold is reached, and the position is owned by the hook with no withdrawal path in the source.
Fee behaviour
Creator-set buy and sell tax in bps (max 10% total each), taken in the quote currency on each swap via a beforeSwap or afterSwap return delta. The fee is split by per-token allocation bps into creator/platform (sent to the Tax contract), burn, dividend and auto-liquidity buckets; platform always keeps at least 30% of the fee.
Owner & admin controls
Owner (Ownable2Step, initially the treasury address) can set the treasury address, the fair launch window (max 3600 seconds), the max buy quote, the burn dust threshold, the factory address, and per-token buy and sell tax rates (capped at 10% each via MAX_TAX_BPS). Ownership transfer is two-step. No pause function or upgrade proxy found in the ABI.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeSwap: enforces the snipe window and max-buy limit during the fair launch and takes the fee via a return delta. afterSwap: runs burn, liquidity and dividend bucket flushes, and takes the fee on the leg where beforeSwap did not already collect it. beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta: allow the hook to take a portion of swap currency as its fee.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: The owner cannot directly seize user funds, but it can raise a token's buy or sell tax to 10%, change the max buy quote, change the fair launch window, and set the factory and treasury addresses. Changing the factory address could redirect registration and swap accounting calls to a malicious contract.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes a creator-set percentage of each swap and holds pending fee buckets, which it converts through swaps and liquidity provision. Owner-set parameters can raise taxes up to 10%. Stranded balances are possible if downstream fee contracts fail.

Security findings

  • [medium] Failed fee distributions can leave funds stranded in the hook: The hook sends fees to the MemespadTax contract via external calls and falls back silently on failure, so ETH or tokens may remain stuck in the hook. The source mentions a treasury emergencyWithdraw, but no such function is in the ABI.
  • [medium] Owner can replace the factory contract: setFactory lets the owner replace the factory address with no timelock. A malicious factory could forge registrations or redirect swap accounting.
  • [medium] Owner can change per-token tax after launch: The owner can set buy or sell tax up to 10% on any registered token at any time, so traders can be charged more than the terms at creation.
  • [low] Swaps performed inside callbacks: Burn and liquidity routines perform swaps and settlements inside a swap callback. The code has a ReentrancyGuard but its functions do not use the guard modifier, so reentrancy protection is unclear.
  • [info] Hook takes fees and moves funds on every swap: The hook can take up to 10% of each swap through return deltas and has an automatic buy-and-burn path, so it holds and moves pool-side token balances.
