What it does

Every buy and sell pays a fixed ETH tax of up to 10%, split between burning bought-back tokens and paying the token creator, while LPs can withdraw freely.

This read was written for the hook 0x10e5…a0cc on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Charges a fixed ETH tax on every buy and sell in pools where ETH is paired with a creator token; the rate is set once at deployment and capped at 10%.
  • Uses part of the tax to buy back the token from the same pool right after the trader's swap and sends those tokens to the 0xdEaD burn address.
  • Holds the rest of the tax as ETH in the hook, and anyone can call harvest to send it to the token's creator.
  • Only the factory can create pools that use this hook.
  • Has no owner, and all settings are permanently fixed.
Swap behaviour
On exact-input buys, the tax is taken from the ETH the trader pays in. On sells and exact-output buys, it is taken from the ETH side after the swap. Once the trader's swap is done, the hook runs an untaxed buyback that burns tokens, which slightly pushes the price up.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
Fee behaviour
A fixed tax of up to 10% of each swap's ETH value is charged on top of the pool fee, with the exact rate set at deployment. A fixed share of it funds token buyback-and-burn, and the rest is paid to the token creator.
Owner & admin controls
No admin controls found. The fee rate, burn share and factory are immutable.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: only the factory can create pools. beforeSwap and beforeSwapReturnDelta: take the ETH tax on exact-input buys. afterSwap and afterSwapReturnDelta: take the ETH tax on sells and exact-output buys, then run the buyback-and-burn.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: There is no owner or admin. The factory only controls which pools get created, and the creator only receives the harvested ETH.

Risk to user funds: Traders pay up to a 10% ETH tax per swap, at a fixed rate. The hook holds only tax ETH and cannot touch LP principal, which can always be withdrawn.

Security findings

  • [info] Immutable capped tax: The tax rate is fixed at deployment and hard-capped at 10%. There is no owner who can change it.
  • [info] Buyback moves price: After each taxed swap, the hook buys tokens with its pending burn ETH. This nudges the price and is not protected against slippage, but it only spends tax ETH.
  • [info] Withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so LPs can always withdraw.
