What it does
Flood launches tokens on Uniswap v4 with the whole supply as one locked single-sided liquidity position, charges fixed taxes on every swap, and runs buybacks and liquidity top-ups from those fees.
How it works step by step
- Opens a Uniswap v4 pool per token with the whole 1B supply in one single-sided position from the opening valuation to the max price, with no removal function.
- Charges a 1% protocol fee plus the creator's buy or sell tax on every swap, routed through beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta.
- Applies a static sniper fee on buys during the launch window (up to 60 minutes) with exempt wallets recognised by tx.origin.
- Splits the creator tax between creator, holder rewards, buybacks and permanent liquidity.
- Runs permissionless hourly buybacks that burn tokens and adds permanent pair-asset-only liquidity, both bounded by 30-minute price anchors.
- Swap behaviour
- Each swap charges a 1% protocol fee plus the creator's tax, plus a sniper fee on buys during the launch window; fees are taken as ERC-6909 claims and redeemed later.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Liquidity is only addable by the hook itself (beforeAddLiquidity reverts for outside callers). At launch the whole 1B supply is one single-sided position. Later the hook can add permanent pair-asset-only positions via compoundLiquidity, each as a new salted position, and no function removes liquidity.
- Fee behaviour
- Every swap of a Flood pool pays a fixed 1% protocol fee plus the creator's buy or sell tax (0-10%), plus a static sniper fee on buys during the launch window (up to 60 minutes, rate 1-99%); total buy fee is capped at 99%. Fees are taken in the quote asset via beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta. The creator's tax goes to the creator, holder rewards, buybacks and permanent liquidity; the protocol fee and sniper fee go to the platform wallet.
- Owner & admin controls
- The factory owner (two-step transfer) sets opening valuations for future launches and can disable pair assets; the factory admin binds the hook once. No pause, upgrade, or parameter control over existing pools or the locked liquidity position was found in the source. The hook has no function that removes liquidity.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize reverts for anyone but the hook's own launch flow; beforeAddLiquidity reverts for outside LPs so only the locked launch position exists; beforeSwap mints ERC-6909 fee claims, maintains price anchors and returns a fee delta; afterSwap books fees, enforces no partial fills on fee-charged swaps and emits trade events; beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta let the hook take its fee from the swap amount.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: The factory owner can change opening valuations for future launches and enable or disable pair assets, but cannot touch existing pools, fees or the locked liquidity. The admin wallet could bind the hook only once. No privileged key can pause trading or seize funds in the reviewed code.
Risk to user funds: The hook holds the entire token supply and the pool's launch position through PoolManager claims and can move funds during swaps, buybacks, reward flushes and liquidity top-ups. Users only lose funds through the fee schedule or through the owner-set opening valuation of future launches; no owner can withdraw or freeze existing pool funds per the source.
Security findings
- [info] Hook takes fees via return deltas: Tokens and fees flow through return deltas and ERC-6909 claims; the hook takes a fee from every swap of a Flood pool via beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta, so the hook is part of the swap path.
- [medium] Very high launch-window buy fees possible: Creator tax and protocol fee are up to 10% plus 1%, and the sniper fee can reach 99% on buys during the launch window; these are fixed at launch but can be very high for traders.
- [low] Exemptions keyed on tx.origin: The max wallet limit and sniper fee exemptions are based on tx.origin, so exempt wallets are recognised by transaction signer and can route through any contract; anyone can route through an exempt EOA.
- [low] Maintenance relies on price anchors not a full oracle: Buybacks and liquidity top-ups are permissionless but bounded by price anchors (5% bounds, 0.1% and 0.5% of reserve per run), so they can be steered only by sustained price moves over 30 minutes.
- [info] Owner sets future launch valuations: The factory's pendingOwner and owner setPairs can change opening valuations for future launches, which affects the starting price of new pools only.
