What it does
A per-chain WETH fee-sharing hook for launched tokens that takes a fee on WETH-side swaps and distributes it among the creator, NFT holders, LP rewards, ecosystem destinations and custom recipients, with a decaying sniper fee at launch.
How it works step by step
- Charges a WETH-denominated fee on swaps, with base, NFT, LP and custom-recipient rates capped at 1000 bps
- Splits fee revenue across creator, ecosystem destinations, NFT rewards, custom recipients and platform dust via a fee vault
- Routes the LP share to an LP rewards ledger when active full-range liquidity exists, otherwise to the vault
- Applies a decaying sniper fee (starting near 60%) for 5 minutes after trading opens, with exemptions for eligible holders and creator/buyback router actors
- Seeds launch liquidity token-only through an immutable launch-liquidity contract that does not enroll in rewards
- Swap behaviour
- Swaps are restricted to exact-input and opened pools. For swaps with WETH as input, the hook takes a fee from the input amount (exempt for creator/buyback router actors and eligible holders). For WETH-output swaps, the fee is taken from the WETH proceeds via afterSwap. Price-boundary and partial-fill checks run on every swap.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Before trading opens, only the router with the creator as actor, or the launch liquidity contract, may add full-range liquidity, and those launch positions are not enrolled in rewards. After opening, only full-range liquidity may be added. Router-initiated add/remove liquidity updates per-position reward accounting in the LP rewards ledger (liquidity accrues rewards only after a one-block maturity). Launch liquidity is seeded token-only into the pool by an immutable launch contract with no withdrawal path.
- Fee behaviour
- Swaps with WETH as the input token are charged a hook fee from the input, and exact-input WETH-output swaps are charged on the WETH proceeds. Total fee is the sum of a base 100 bps, the NFT rate, the LP rate and custom recipient rates capped at 1000 bps. Proceeds are split: a fixed 30/base creator share, 10/base each to two ecosystem destinations (Quotrons terminal and growth sink), the NFT rewards share, custom recipient shares, and rounding dust to the platform. The LP share goes to the LP rewards ledger when active liquidity exists, otherwise it goes to the fee vault. Sniper pools apply a decaying nominal fee starting at 60% and dropping 10% per minute for 5 minutes after opening, unless the router actor is an eligible holder or the creator/buyback executor.
- Owner & admin controls
- Only the creator can update fees within a fixed-recipient-count cap of 1000 bps total, and only within a 300-second launch window after opening; the creator can set eligibility minima before trading opens. The factory can register pools and buyback strategies once; infrastructure (factory, router) is set once by the installer. The hook itself is immutable with no owner, pause or upgrade path. The LP rewards ledger sits behind a TransparentUpgradeableProxy whose ProxyAdmin is controlled by the platform (described as a Safe-owned ProxyAdmin), so that contract's logic can be upgraded by the platform key. The NFT/royalty components have owner-set transfer validators (setTransferValidator restricted to the owner/authority).
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, afterAddLiquidity, afterRemoveLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: restricts initialization to the factory for registered pools. beforeAddLiquidity: enforces full-range positions and launch-window access control. afterAddLiquidity and afterRemoveLiquidity: update LP reward accounting for router-initiated positions. beforeSwap: enforces exact-input, opened-trading, a transient swap-input snapshot, and computes/takes the hook fee via return delta. afterSwap: checks price boundaries and partial fills, and takes the fee on WETH proceeds for token-input swaps via return delta. beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta: enabled so the hook can take fees in the specified/unspecified currency.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).
Who controls it: The creator can change fee splits (within the cap) during the launch window and set eligibility policy before opening; this affects only fee parameters, not custody. The platform controls the ProxyAdmin of the LP rewards ledger and can replace its implementation, which could redirect or freeze reward accounting and rewards funds held there. Owners of the NFT/royalty validator can change transfer validators and thereby block NFT transfers. No single key can pause swaps or withdraw pool funds from the hook itself.
Risk to user funds: The hook itself does not custody user principal; it takes fee amounts from swap deltas and routes them to the vault, LP rewards ledger and platform/creator/recipient balances. WETH in the LP rewards ledger is held by an upgradeable proxy controlled by the platform, so a malicious upgrade could affect those funds. The hook can cause swaps to revert via its input, price and partial-fill checks, but it has no pause or confiscation path.
Security findings
- [medium] Upgradeable LP rewards ledger: The LP rewards ledger is a TransparentUpgradeableProxy controlled by the platform via a ProxyAdmin. A malicious or compromised upgrade could change accounting and access the WETH the ledger holds.
- [low] Creator-adjustable fee rates during launch window: The creator can change fee rates, including the LP and NFT shares, within a 300-second window after opening and before trading opens, so fee terms for LPs and traders can shift at launch.
- [medium] High, time-decaying launch fee: The hook takes fees via return deltas on every WETH-input or WETH-output swap; sniper pools charge up to 60% nominal fee decaying over 5 minutes, which materially affects traders in the first minutes.
- [low] Transfer validator can restrict NFT transfers: Token-linked NFT transfers and ownership changes are gated by owner-set transfer validators, and royalty validators are settable by the authority within the registry allow-list, so NFT transfers can be restricted.
- [info] Transient-storage swap guard and price-boundary checks: Swap-input state uses transient storage with pre/post hook pairing and reverts on partial fills and price-boundary violations, reducing exposure to reentrant or mis-sized execution.
